Yeah, I'm probably the prime inspiration for those new rules, I admit. A lot of the stuff I write just cannot exist in a non-secret state but a lot of it is only due to the general relations between gods being competitive and disruptive. You can't really do much in IC without someone getting upset over it and trying to stop that action. If we can all agree as players to be more tolerant of other gods' actions I think we can start putting more stuff in IC. For this, I think Ghazher's had a positive influence by his omni-despised but tolerated anti-sapience plant which kinda provides a baseline of "if you do something that other gods don't like, they have to suck it up because what you did isn't as bad as this, otherwise those gods are hypocrites for not dealing with the plant first." Of course, this only applies to gods who try to not be hypocrites so Darruth probably wouldn't be affected.

You could just do actions in public and deal with it if someone complains . That is (what I have been assuming) everyone else is doing to different degrees.

Asteroid belt: Probably, but it also probably doesn't resemble a cinematic asteroid belt where you can regularly see another asteroid at all from any given asteroid and probably isn't enriched with metal.

Fusil and the enemies: It's easier to see why Fusil has so many red lines leading to him when the fact that he's framed as some sort of bringer of the apocalypse is considered.
Andres and the "rules": Perhaps surprisingly, you're not the primary source for the rules. What you perceive to be your actions leading to the "rules" being placed is more of a reflection of my failure to prevent the game from selecting for the behaviors that led to them being written out at all.

What if I give them blood-sense instead? 300 Beings of Serac/Ritan had this ability among others and it cost 2E to make them. Also, blood-sense doesn't work once they're attached to a body unless they disconnect themselves from their host's senses.

They have angel powers and knowledge but can only beat a Human in a fight half the time due to being equally as powerful and having an equal chance of winning the fight. Is this template any different from Jeffrey's?

Dude, we get Essence from worship which comes from sapience. A plant that kills sapience kills our income so EVERYONE is going to hate them for that, if not for moral reasons. If we were going to get rid of them we'd have complained or done something about them by now. As I mentioned earlier, though, your plant can result in a net positive for the game as a whole.

Just because I don't like Darruth IC or OOC doesn't mean I'm asking you to play him differently. )Just for the record, my opinion on Darruth OOC is based on preference rather than quasi-objective fact.) From what he looks like from an OOC perspective, he's a regular god trying to be a paragon of virtue/Mary Sue but failing due to his own personality/beliefs and behaviour. I can appreciate and accept such a character's design but that doesn't mean I have to like the character itself. Keep playing Darruth as you are now, just let me dislike him.

Plus, half the time I don't do stuff because I'm busy in real life, so it seems like you're attacking me for that, sometimes.

I called him a hypocrite because you and Darruth seem to share a lot of the same values and you said that being a hypocrite is ok so long as you're the right type of hypocrite. Extrapolating from this, I would assume that Darruth sees himself as a hypocrite and is entirely ok with it because he believes he's the right type of hypocrite, aligning with my interpretation of his character.

Yes I am allowed to insult my own characters, it's only when you do it that I get upset. (see step 1)



He is a hypocrite, the necessary evil stuff if nothing else, but I'm also naturally skilled at Doublethink, and naturally so is Darruth, and probably everyone else fanatically devoted to an ideals system of any sort who's still able to function in reasonable society.
