A race of six winged flying eels with two antennae to communicate that reproduce by dropping their wings into water where they form an egg-like structure, growing the child within before the child uses those wings for itself.(so up to six could have a child together)
They are able to decrease attributes to have that same attribute increased later, and store the attributes in specialized organs under their wings.

They come from a large floating lake (the home lake) that supplies them with everything needed to live and is surrounded by a ring of clouds at all times, but most eventually leave the lake to travel the skies in one of many fleets of specialized airships that clear pollution from the air and form it into magical metal (To be expanded on later), only returning to the lake in times of great danger or to reproduce.

I will create these now.

Edit: The metals would contain magical energy, and each fleet specializes in a different type of magic. The magic would fade as it gets used up, and the metal would change from being colorful and mithril strength to being grey and steel like. It is possible to recharge the metal by enchanting it, or casting spells of its type at it.
Holding something made of the metal will grant you the ability to use that type of magic, or increase your ability to use it if you already can.

So there would be an elemental fleet that produces elemental metal, and if you were using a knife made of it you could use elemental magic. And so on for all magic types.

For anyone who might complain about the Wolf-men being similar to the Lycae, I won't lie. They are similar. However, there is a big difference from a "bipedal wolf that lives in the mountains"that have a "tribal society" and a humanoid wolf. A bipedal wolf is just a wolf that walks on 2 legs. A humanoid wolf has 2 feet and 2 hands (with claws on them) and a pretty much a human body with fur. They also have wolfish snouts and teeth, but they're different from wolves that walk on 2 legs. Wolf-men live in the forests, whereas Lycae live in mountains. They are both civilized (as far as I can tell from what their creator has said in his post about them). Mine are more of an organized civilization than a tribe, though. Basically, Wolf-men would be like the Roman Empire compared to the Lycae who would classify as Barbaric tribes.
