Converting people who are already close to you/your sphere or making more people are the two most common ones so far..

You can make a prophet with improved charisma for just 1 Essence. After that, you can just tell the prophet to spread your word, start up a clergy, etc. for free.

I usually just make more followers. Who needs to convert when you can make a new race?

Remember that Worship is not the only source of Essence. Get some Influence, for example by converting a nation's leader to build a culture based on your sphere, and see how it flows.

Hey, my guys are leaving them alone. It's Fusil and only Fusil who's bothering you. I do recommend plaguing or lightninging them, though. They're rather likely to shoot your people if you don't.

Do that, and Fusil will literally kill you. You are kinda like the small Asian/Middle Eastern/South American country caught between the US and USSR. Just kinda have to deal with it.
