"I'm sure you could do something with Rats to make them less... deplorable. Maybe not eat them but I hear that rats can be used to find carrion. Where there's carrion there's something that's killed it. Maybe reverse hunt whatever killed something?"

"I have heard rats make good pets for the rat inclined. They are clever and quick, small and nimble-you can train them to do tricks. They constantly eat, though, and are hardly what you would call loyal.

...Much like you, Ari." Osirio said lightly, almost missing the obvious joke for a minute.

[Nerjin]

"Bears... Bears... I can't recall ever seeing one. I hear they're large though. Probably good for meat. Better than rats... or Ari." Culpa said with a small laugh. It wasn't until a few moments later that he realized that he had implied eating a team mate.

"I've seen a bear. Tiny things. I have bigger lizards in my homeland." Osirio comments.

"Zhings like you taste like pig. Zhings like bears taste like zheir last meal."

Osirio began nudging Ari with the blunt end of his guisarme toward the more suspicious looking crates, no doubt full of razor blades to the face and giant mutant rat monsters.

"Check in that one, Gnome! Faster! Faster!"

Action: Use my Gnome prodding stick to make Ari search faster (by which I mean, aid action)

"Such an interesting leadership strategy..."

"I... don't think that's how meat works. At least not for humans. One meat tends to have the same taste regardless of diet... At least so far as I know. Fascinating to wonder if it's a species difference."

[Dwarmin]

"An Orcish pirate told me Elf meat has distinct vegetable flavor." Osirio says, adding to this inane conversation.

[Nerjin]

"I'm surprised the savages take the time to taste their food. Though I'm curious. Ava, have you had elf?"

Ava absently sorted through the rubbish she could see, poking the occasional thing with her giant knife.
"Not had elf. Zhe znow elves never stood and vought. Ran and shot arrows from a distance, zo I couldn't catch zhem. If Ozirio dies, perhaps ve'll zee."

"I'd probably taste very delicious-I cook well, so it stands to reason, that I'd cook well. I only demand I be properly seasoned in the event thereof.

You know what species is truly delicious? Sahuagin. Like the richest tasting of the salmon, best when grilled over coals with lemon juice. If you ever spend time on a pira...er, a sailing vessel...whose purpose is peaceful trade and exploration, you would learn to like the flavor.

Osirio did not eat much fish in the desert-it was an acquired taste. "

"I suppose the eating of sentient creatures is an allowed custom for elves and half-giants. Fascinating. I'm not sure if this is universally true but I one spent a year in the company of a wizard for some reason... Nice enough sort. He was the studious type and was trying to figure out that very question. From what I gathered he supposed that humans do so in order to allow our bodies to better absorb the food or some such." Culpa cast a glance into one of the boxes for a brief moment "I was always under the assumption that it's for taste and texture. It always seems better on both accounts if it's been thoroughly cooked first."
