Osirio looked at the map, but he couldn't read the undercommon scrawl-it was like an Elf trying to write words using the wrong hand, while drunk.

"Let's clear out the rooms behind us before we move to this central hall area-first this room to the East, then the one to the South." He said, pointing to East.

But first, he wondered if the Drow had any loot...

Though she didn't say anything, Ava was slightly shaken in her confidence. That creature had deflected her hammer with one hand. It could have killed Osirio, and she suspected her, without Ava being able to do much.
She walked close to Osirio as she thought.

She must become stronger.

Culpa sighed as he followed the group. After his confrontation with Ava he had believed himself to be growing more warlike as his god demanded. Instead he had simply stood idly by as both Osirio and Ava risked their lives. It seemed he still had much to learn.

The drow aren't carrying too much. Each has a simple, shoddily made weapon of some sort; you count a shortsword, mace, and a frankly impressively large collection of daggers between the three of them. Each also has a hand crossbow, and ten bolts for them. Their armor is simple hide; nothing too impressive, nor defensive. They're still wearable, if reeking of decay and with a few holes in them. There's also a number of various bits of jewelery and some coins; the metals and gems would likely be cheaper down here, but on the surface, it'd be worth about 1200 gold all told. In the pocket of one, there's a note in Undercommon.

The four of you are to scout ahead of the main force, go to Vortrasul, and search the area for any threats. Failure will not be tolerated. Upon completion, report back to the main reclamation group.

[17+6] Should the letter be translated for Ari, he'd know that the number after the name is a timekeeping system common to wholly underground civilizations. The current date would be 16821-31; far after the date stated here. One wonders just how long Naras was holding onto these, and how they're so fresh. And, what happened to this reclamation group.

Osirio gathers up the small crossbows in his own pack.

"These silly things are useful if you know how to use them. Good to sell-they are very difficult to make. Unless anyone wants one to practice with?"

Ava relieved him of one of the hand crossbows, looking at the little device, and curiously pointed it at on the dead drow and pulled the trigger.
The bolt made a sound closer to splort than thud.
She shrugged and handed it back to Osirio before yanking a bracelet off a decomposing wrist.

Loot 200 gp worth of stuff.

She looked at the drow more closely as a thought struck. What exactly did the drow die of?

"I've always wanted a crossbow. Though they seem a little... Strange." Culpa says as he picks up one of the other Crossbows "Hm... It feels weird but... I suppose it's usable." With a shrug he also grabs a few handfuls of gold likely totaling 200 gp

Also loot 200GP. Also loot ten (?) daggers so I have a missile weapon.

"What does the note say? What were they down here for?"

And also, why not, inspect the corpses to see what they died of.

Action: Osirio snatches 240 gold

Osirio tucked the gold and valuables into his own pouch.

"The note implies they were a scouting group for a reclamation expedition.

Given the date and the fact this places seems yet to reclaimed, implies they failed, or abandoned the project for some reason..." Osirio muses.

"Hmm. That is a date long long ago. Is such a note on such fresh bodies real? Alas, I have no skill in forgeries..."

"I think the note is real-bodies do not compose as quickly down here as above. Or perhaps they have been preserved somehow, as a warning to us.

I don't suppose it really matters, does it?"

"Maybe it might, but why it might is beyond me, O Tall Captain. I wonder if we shall find their comrades."

[Dwarmin]

"Mr. Culpa, I find your warnings persuasive! Please remove the heads of these Drow in case they decided to reanimate and attack us." He said casually.

[Nerjin]

"I never said anything about Drow... But alright." Culpa shrugged as he picked up the short sword and went about decapitating the bodies. After his work was done he tossed the sword aside.
