False, I noticed when my whale got cut in half. He didn't notice, but I did.
And he got better, so I'm not that impressed.

But I have nothing to do with the monsters, why would killing me stop them?

How about a deal? You give me one essence (I don't like threats) create an interesting weapon for Angela and prove that the void is evil, and I will destroy the temple.


Edit: I don't want essence.

Actually, I think Nuparhi might be able to beat Tykki in a fight. I mean, brute strength isn't everything...
We could test it, but he is busy fighting demons right now.

Cim: It appears that the monsters are mindless and driven only by bloodlust.

Azem: "Quite well, if I say so myself. My hoard has grown, and so have those of my priests. Any news from your travels and godly vision?"

Yaos: The scientists begin working on weapons to kill the monsters. It is very difficult when testing is almost impossible except by comparing casualties. Some are made of strange materials and nearly impervious.

The scientists are told to make weapons for the Paladins that are capable of at least damaging some of the monsters. If not to kill them, at least to play a support role. Ranged weapons are preferred. Hand-held ballistae that fire grenades, perhaps? See what they come up with.

(I don't think I'm up to the task of making it a full simulation, so it's just for minor reference, progress checking, and appearances. Plus, it's awful at differentiating the various types of units.)

Yaos: The scientists mention that the existing weapons do damage the monsters and that testing is very difficult. However, they note that nothing seems to work very well, and they lose too many messengers to measure effectiveness with any amount of confidence. They have catalogued dozens of types of monsters so far from fragmentary reports.

You can always create random monster for your science experiment, I am sure it wont take much of your essence pool.

"I can capture as many as you'd like. I'll help under the condition that you'll share all research you make of it."

Cim sets a few monsters of each type into stasis and whisks them to Yaos' scientists.
