The weapons seem to have enough Void influence to trigger the VDD.

So Fusil's in that deep with the Void, eh? Well what about the EC-1 crossbow bolts? Everything and everyone in the academy is scanned for Void influence. Everything with Void influence is destroyed (in case of equipment) or cast out (in case of personnel). Only theoretical stuff like research notes and stuff are preserved. ISAY moves to a new building and begins working on armour that can aid in mobility, perhaps using alchemy.

It seems that most everyone, regardless of skill in any area, is inept at chi techniques. Most of the Imperial generals agree to pray to Yaos' angels.

Luckily, everyone is able to use chi techniques so the only thing needed is more practice. The Imperial generals are told that worshipping the angels aren't necessary at all. Prayer should only be used like a faster, more efficient courier.
For example:

The weapons referred to Telialas and Zephemural(?). The EC-1 bolts are Void-free, but many of the chi-related rooms and researchers trigger the VDD at least at close range. You probably don't want to scrap those projects (at least not before learning of this). The non-Void remainder moves to a new building and begins work on mobility-improving armor.

Those practicing and on-world continue to practice. Lette and Vaal receive many prayers saying the following:

If I can't block it out, Ill shoot it out. Set up targets of Yaos's Angels and have my angels shoot at them. Join in.

Do you think 300 tentacles with handguns, rifles, shotguns, machine guns, anti-materiel rifles, sub-machine guns, and other assorted shooty things will be good practice for the upcoming battle? It should either drown out the music or make me not care about it.

Telialas and Zephemural are put under a full examination - this time including soul-compatibility testing and conversations with the swords - to make sure they're 100% perfect recreations.

The definition of a full examination:

The Emperor is checked for everything: Essence, Void, magic, life, sentience, science-stuff, poison, and also the condition of the corpse.

Just replace 'condition of the corpse' with 'physical condition'. The Void stuff should've been detected during the full examination.

We wanted exact replicas and we didn't get exact replicas. We want refunds either by giving us the Essence you gained (possibly in the form of Essence orbs) or get exact replicas of our swords built. Maybe get another god to help you?"

So are the EC-1 bolts complete? Can manufacturing begin? The researchers that test positive for Void influence are made to leave under armed escort. The research done on the Hilda and the Scion are copied and everything that doesn't test positive for Void influence is preserved. The rest is destroyed Inquisition-style. Since the materials used to make prototypes and the research notes used to create them have been copied without Void influence everything should be fine. What can the prototypes do? How many charges do they hold?

Moreover, he hasn't been openly active for far more than three Ticks but is still listed as active, so he's probably doing all this stuff as secret actions."

What are these Essence orbs I keep hearing about? I haven't resolved their creation or defined their existence anywhere.

Yaos: The EC-1 bolts are mostly working now. Manufacturing may begin, but it will take months to start production. The researchers with some Void influence are escorted out. Copies of critical work have been made. Attempts are made to destroy anything with Void influence.

The building in which the items slated for destruction are located has suffered from a sudden deficiency of structural strength and thermal resistance. The items are destroyed, along with all the EVAC members assigned to the task and occupants in general.

"As you can see, not all of us are content to stand back and watch as you destroy our and our allies' creations. I hate to say this, but let this be an example of what my less disciplined brethren will do if you continue to antagonize us."

There is a reply from the many praying generals and leaders to the effect that the system works.

At the moment, Vaal is confused. On the one hand Fusil just asked him a direct question that he seems to want answered. On the other hand, he said that he'll kill Vaal if he speaks.

What are these Essence orbs I keep hearing about? I haven't resolved their creation or defined their existence anywhere.

Is it possible for a god to store Essence outside of their body? For example, I extract 1 Essence from myself and put it into an orb. I can absorb that orb to get back te Essence, I could give it to people to carry around, or I could use it for projects.

Storing Essence outside body: Limited amounts and on a case-by-case basis. Attempts to abuse the system will net an immediate warning just as attempting to create overpowered things would.

Excellent! Production will begin as soon as possible! Hopefully the factories will be done by the next Tick by using NEBULOUS PASSAGE OF TIME. Just ignore the whole battle preparations. It's been delayed until the other gods get here, after all.

Is there any magic that would allow one being - an angel for example - to possess another willing being, use that body for things like martial arts, and thus instil muscle memory in the possessed?
