If you want to let her know, but a bit more gently *and* allow her to save face, once in a while when she's in earshot and you are talking to someone else, casually mention your gf.  "My gf and I went to see a movie" or "My gf made an awesome pie last night!" or "I want to buy X for my gf, any suggestions?"  etc etc.   If she has a crush on you, she'll be paying attention.

If you tell her face to face bluntly, it's a rejection.   If you just let it be known... then there is plausible deniability, so it's not as bad.

Literally, just talk to her. Avoid initiating flirt mode so she can start first. Ancalagon got it right, just drop some hints and she will listen. Maybe she wants to be friends and you look like a guy she can talk to. Don't listen to those first two fools, keep it social for godsakes and don't creep her out.

Well, I assume my friend went and dropped some hints for me...

She has completely ignored me for two weeks now. Not even trying to talk to me. Not even looking at me anymore.

About as smooth as sandpaper, oh well sorta solves that problem but if that turned you into a dbag well go yell at your friend for that.

... this went from never actually talked, and now "yelled at you across the class"?

I guess your problem is solved, but your OP wasn't entirely clear.  Ah well.

Talk, have a nice chat, and mention your girlfriend in passing. I'd have an explicative video but it's in french.

females typically are not real aggressive. There is a time honored tradition of 'ignore her and she will go away'. Same doesn't always work for women towards guys...

I think you were quoting a female stereotype, and not any sort of fact. The two can get confused.

I know girls who arent shy, but more females are certainly more passive(-aggressive) in their flirting, on average, waiting for the male to actually make the first intimate move.  Its getting more common, though, that women are directly voicing themselves and pursuing the relationship.

yea society kind of expects you to pine over a guy and hope he asks you.

That said, I've asked every guy out that I've ever dated.

I am usually asked out by guys...
So I have to say I find guys more aggressive than girls.

But I have been asked out on all of my dates, including ones with girls...

so wouldn't that make it 100% asked out, regardless of gender (well, cis-gendered, anyway)
