No, it's the difference between theoretical and practical experience. We can pick up academia anytime we want, let's go get tough on the open sea and learn firsthand how real sailing is done.
Read our backstory. We already did that.

All fanfics are heresy, each and every one, especially the shipping ones. Those are by far the worst.

The extra training is to help the character have a better sheet when he leaves the college. Once you leave you don't come back unless you become a instructor which won't happen for a LONG time..or ever if you don't survive. Also the training of a merchant marine is no laughing business. It almost sounded to me like the GM was advocating Andres' option.. I'm completely not sure what to think now, but I think I'll stick with my current choice.

Whhyyyyyyy? We can always go off and get a job later! We will NEVER have the opportunity to receive a full, comprehensive education again!

It's not just a job though it's action! I want to do some sailing before this game dies.

Caine's law.
And so, here at the end of days, you are as you’ve always been. Willing to die. Not willing to quit.

Vengeance is mine saith the Lord but this morning. He's going to fucking well have to share.

Is she worth it, would you burn the city to save her? For her, I'd burn the world.

Tests in algebra are right around the corner an I've spent ny days holed up in my room with a book, paper, and pen. Luckily so has our hero and we'll both be back around October 4th. Possibly sooner.

No, he's a confused time traveller.
As soon as he gets back we'll forget all about this and there will be updates we'll have already read.
