The thief shrugged. He had tried to help solve the problem without making anyone feel resentful. To Kyle, Harlan shot a withering glance.

: "There's a very simple difference, so I'm not surprised you missed it. That man was badly wounded and would have been a critical drain on the resources we would have needed to survive the desert. Neither of those criteria apply to Lillian. There's also the minor fact that Lillian is - was now, I suppose - something of a friend."

  "I don't know either.. But I can't take somebodies choice away from them. I... I can only ask them to do something..." Albert sighed, only to turn to stare at Kyle in disbelief, slowly growing into disgust and anger.
  "H..How could you say something like that?! T..That's horrible! H-How can you suggest something like that to somebody who's done nothing but help us!?"

Lilly went back to the group, though she stood a few feet away from everyone and kept her eyes on her feet, clearly just waiting for the time to continue on their way.

"Kyle was being sarcastic."

Tomik clenched a fist, barely able to believe his ears that Kyle had basically just suggested that Harlan should have killed Lilly regardless of how serious he had been. But he didn't respond. He just walked over to Modra and started checking her saddle before pulling himself up, ready to leave whenever everyone else was.

"How could you kidnap someone who's done nothing but help us?"

:"...'cause... we don't wanna see her gone and we're gonna miss her?"

Albert trembled, hands curled into tight balls, before he slowly relaxed them, and took a deep breath.
  "If that's how you feel, maybe you should've done something about it, or said something, or whatever instead of just saying that now to get me to shut up!"

:"...'cause... we don't wanna see her gone and we're gonna miss her?"

"By Lalluna Senija, you can't just kidnap someone because you'll miss them! That's how you get locked up in a dark dungeon."

"I didn't think that I had to explain how wrong it is to kidnap a friend!"

:"Well, you know, wasn't gonna kidnap her, just... nab her guitar for a bit..."

"Call it what it is, Senija. You were trying to blackmail me into coming along. Whatever. You got your wish."

Senija wilted a little and muttered.
:"I mean... I let go of the guitar..."

[SeriousConcentrate]

"Maybe that wasn't the only thing you should have let go of."

[Ochita]

  "I never said that I'd kidnap her or anything! I... I can't force somebody to do anything! I said that! All I can do without forcing anything is just asking!"

"Leave her alone Lilly. She was only doing it to help me. It's my fault you're stuck with us and everyone knows it. Be angry at me, not the rest of them."
