Alessa was aware if Kyle's fear, and changed position to get beside him. She recalled Tomik's note, wondering freely with her imagination on what sufferings the man went through to fear this much. Was it under the Ixani, and did they employ psychological torture? She had heard dark rumors.

     "Kyle, right? Stick close to me--hold my hand. I'm pretty much aware of fears and how they can affect you (not because I was trained in this sort of consoling back as a guard...). Keep in mind that I can shoot from a bow at close range, too. These are non-exclusive facts."

Senija frowns as she watches the dart naaarrowly miss Albert's neck, but shrugs, and smirks:
:"Nice dodge, Albert."

Albert for his part, was only breathing a little hit harder than before.
  "Thanks.. That was too close for comfort."

:"Yeaaah, I imagine it would've hit any of the slower ones of us."

Kyle takes her hand. He seems to have wiped it off well but it's oddly cold. Must have been the slime or something given it's unnaturally cool.
"Thanks... to be honest I don't even know why I came along, the only thing I've ever been really good at was getting hit and staying standing. And unless we're going to get attacked in a coordinated way that's not much use..."

  "I wouldn't know, I just felt as though I really needed to move.. Maybe it was luck?"

"People have instincts beyond sight and hearing. You merely have to listen to them."

Senija therefore follows Tomik, to the left.

Zane had been following along, trying to stay silent as to better hear the possibility of an ambush.

After seeing Laura inhale the toxic gas, he started trying to hold his breath. After seeing Albert narrowly avoid getting shot, he had been holding one of his tomes in front of him as a shield. And after seeing Kyle get slimed, he held his other tome over his head.

He paused to think on how ridiculous he probably looked right now, holding his breath and shielding himself with a pair of books, but thankfully it was pretty dark.

  "Instincts that aren't hearing or seeing..? That sounds odd... Though I suppose I also felt odd.. I still think that it was probably just luck though."

  "I suppose that could be it.. I suppose that part of your training was finding a way to listen to them then?"

"It developed fastest after i lost my eye, when I had to adapt or die. But you should still be able to bring out yours, even so."

"This ruin is extremely irritating. It's like nothing I've ever really seen before, usually if they're trapped there tends to be clues to allow someone capable to pass. In this case it seems to be purely designed to keep everyone out. As far as I can tell, we're relying purely on luck with no chance to shape our own fates. That's not a very good situation to be in.

He had been listening to Ketsuki and Albert talk.

"Do you think sensitivity to magic would make those instincts stronger?"
