Harold managed to contain his surprise by putting his hand over his mouth instead of loudly exclaiming anything in a supposed stealth setting.

: You for real? Congratulations and that, now I feel inadequately slow. What are you going to do next?

: "Nah, don't feel that way. You're probably going about the business properly. Anyway, I don't know. We've talked about it some, but she only just realized she had a bun in the oven last week. It's still sinking in, I guess." Harlan felt the second-to-last tumbler click home in the lock. Just a little more... "Anyway, part of the reason I took this job is because I want to do something useful for Cat. Whether she wants me to stick around or not, I'm not going to leave her broke and with a kid."

And with that, the lock finally gave up the ghost. Harlan very carefully nudged the door open and peered inside.

: Alright, let's do this for them.

Harold peeked inside as well. Inside there were guards looking away from the door, but there was something strange about them.

: *Golems? This simplifies things somewhat. They don't seem aware of us, do we take it slow?*
