Kyle raised the enormous club as it burst into flames, and by some miracle struck Chaos with it.

The blue flames of Chaos fought against the red blaze of Kyle's new might, but ultimately lost and the former pirate's attack broke through and cracked the skull.

Kyle attacks!

Chaos Fusion takes 48+2-25=25 damage!

The party could feel themselves being pulled towards the gate as Chaos Fusion exploded into light.
Ironside, Silfursverd Sr., Micheal and Phineas were climbing the mountains, following the beacon of the Waygate when suddenly a ball of light exploded at the base and then disappeared, along with the beacon. Fearing what might have happened, they resumed the climb at a faster pace.
: _{Hello? Hello?! Anyone? What was that light? Are you alive? Please answer me!}

Awakened by Nikolai's yelling, one by one the party started getting up. They had been sent flying towards the Waygate, but it had closed before they were sucked in.

Now only the stone arch remained, although surrounded by rubble by the force of the final blast.

No one appeared to be missing, but Modra was still carrying Mason's unconscious body.

Lilly slowly got to her feet, putting her hand on a large piece of rubble for balance.

"Is it... is it finally over?"

Kyle sat up looking around. After a few seconds of gathering himself he gets up and points his club at the remains of the waygate.
"You won't be seeing us today, and you won't be seeing us in hell!"
With that he puts the weapon away and stretches.
"Tell ya what Lilly, if it isn't I'm going to be really pissed off."

Despite herself, Lilly laughed as she sat on the piece of rubble.

"Same, Kyle, same. Nice shot, by the way."

She looked looked around the battlefield, to get an idea where everyone was at.

[Sirus]

"Gotta be over. Even that "Chaos" thing should have learned not to mess with us by now."

Harlan slowly managed to prop himself up against a convenient boulder.

[Twinwolf]

Catherine staggered to her feet, and dusted herself off, looking around.

"...I do believe it is." she said, with an uncharacteristic grin as she snapped her tome closed. That said, she walked around and started calling healing magic on those who were still injured, starting with Mason and then moving over to Harlan. "...I wonder if I'll be able to study the ruins." she wondered aloud, before realizing what she just said. "For the mental exercise." she clarified.

Senija sat up, clapped, and then her face spread into a smile.
:"Hehehe, so not even weird Hell demon corpse things are immune to getting murdered by us, huh?"
Senija called out of the cave.
:"YEAH! WE'RE ALIVE, NIKOLAI! WE WON! WE DID IT!"
Senija could see Harold getting up but she elected to prop him up and tug him to his feet, giddily.
:"Allllright, let's get you up, Harold! We did it, you know!"

Albert groaned as he got up, shaking his head as he staggered against some rubble, eyes locking onto Mason, taking a step towards him... Before Catherine had already healed him. Giving her a thumbs up, he got to work healing the group alongside her, finishing with Ketsuki.
  "We really did it, huh Ketsuki." He sounded tired, but relieved. "You were amazing. You too, galeforce."

Kyle shrugs at the compliment.
"It was mostly you guys. That thing would have been dead no matter who hit it."

"That might be true, but we all worked together for this - you included."

Lilly sighed happily. The long nightmare was finally over. It had taken ten years but she had managed to make peace with herself and her family, and now there was going to be a time of peace to raise her child in. Hers and Tomik's. No more war from Ixion, no more supernatural creatures trying to bend people to their will. She got off the piece of rubble and made her way over to Tomik, holding a hand out to help him to his feet.

"It's a new day, love. Let's go and greet it."

[GiglameshDespair]

Ketsuki acknowledged Albert with a smile and a nod. With a solid click, she slide Galeforce into its sheath.
"The outcome was never in doubt, with you beside me. And with Galeforce, as well."
She looked towards the waygate.
"Now it is all over. I hope my master is proud."

[Sirus]

Harlan moved over to the Waygate and poked at it a few times with the kingsword. It stayed firmly shut. The thief couldn't help but laugh.

: "Ha! Killed a king, defeated a god, and saved the world. Not bad for a day's work."

: Hahaha... HAHAHA! Yes! We saved the world! Harold returned Senija's affection to the best of his ability.

: _{Ahaha! Magnificent all of you! By the way I've seen the others are coming as well so wait there for a bit before coming up here again!}

But not everyone was as cheerful.

Mason, although healed and awake, was sitting still in a catatonic state.

Galeforce was unusually silent, and Ketsuki could feel it was different somehow.

Recieving no reply from the magic sword, Ketsuki glanced down towards the weapon.
"Galeforce?" She frowned."Something has changed. Has...?"

Had the spirit in her sword passed on as the Waygate closed?
