Haibach was busy tying up the last ropes when he looked overboard. Kyle still hadn't learned how to swim.
The captain put a palm to his face.

: Oh for grub's sake... Why the big lug decided to become a pirate, I have no idea.

The captain jumped after Kyle and helped him to the shore.
The group watched as the first of them reached land.

[Sirus]

: "Well, they certainly don't look friendly..."

Harlan drew his sword and prepared to get to work.

Kyle, needless to say is now wet and unhappy.

Ketsuki raised her voice.

"You there, rogues! Are you planning to fight? If so, you'll die here!"

[Solymr]

: Who's there? Are you Ixion guards?

[Sirus]

: "We're just passing by. I have no intention of fighting unless you decide to force the issue."

[Haspen]

"Wait, you want to let these ugly waterbound scoundrels do their nastiness while we simply march past? Aren't we going to stop by the village they're going for?" Laura was a little upset. And confused.

[Ochita]

Albert gave a firm nod to Harlan's words.
: "That's right. I personally would like to avoid a fight."

  "At least we don't go about insulting people we just met."
Kyle says glaring at Laura.

Tomik had been walking along with the rest of the group, giving Modra a rest but also himself a rest to prevent saddle sores and the like. At the sight of the pirates, he sighed.

"I think it's pretty clear that none of us want a fight here, but we also want to make sure we get to that village and it's safe and unattacked. So unless you all can promise us that you're going to leave us and the village alone... As for you, if you didn't want people judging you, maybe you shouldn't have become a pirate."

Kyle frowns.
  "It's just a job mate."

[Khaiel]

"Laura please... Remember the whole running from the law thing..."

"I think Albert and Harlan are right, we should try to avoid the fighting... At least for now."

After hearing Tomik's words, Isbilya simply facepalmed.

"Tomik... You know, when the girl who says she is The Bearer of Destruction and who gladly murders anyone who crosses her without a second thought has to be the one defending the use of a diplomatic solution, it means we are in very bad position."

"Doesn't change that you chose a job that requires attacking defenseless villages, taking their money and food, and then, if you feel like it, burning the village down around them. That you chose a job that will involve you attacking merchant's ships and if they're lucky, the worst that will happen is they're left with none of their goods and no food and water. If they're unlucky, they'll all be dead. It may be just a job, but you chose it and that makes you scum."

Turning to Isbilya, he sighed.

"You realize I said we should avoid fighting if possible? That if they promise to leave us and the village alone, that's that? I'm sorry, but we can't just let them plunder the village we're hoping to be able to shelter in."

Kyle looks at Tomik with a deadpan expression.
 "You don't know the first thing about piracy. First off villages don't have shit worth taking most of the time."

"Tomik, as much as I respect the fact that for now you are more or less the closest this group has to a leader... You do realize you have just insulted the big guys with big axes, right?
