Lilly was currently walking with the rest, taking a break from flight so she wouldn't get air sick - she hadn't yet, but she was worried she might.

"Oh come on, Lily, rain doesn't kill!"

: "The 'Beautiful Blade' has the right idea. I remember hearing stories of typhoons when I was younger, and those storms can most definitely kill. At least our pursuers - assuming there are any - will be forced to slow or stop as well."

"Exposure can kill as sure as a blade, just slower. If you get lost on the mountains, that kills you before any thirst or hunger. Here, at least, we'd survive, unless the sea surged and drowned us, or the land slid."

: "...such a positive outlook."

: "Anyway, let's hurry. I want to be inside next to a fire before the storm really gets going."

:"Pfffff, mountains aren't THAT unsurvivable! I mean, I guess they probably WOULD kill some of you lowlanders though, so I guess the town probably is a good idea."

Meanwhile, on a ship not far away from the coast...

Captain Haibach was staring at the clouds with an unhappy look on his face.

: A big storm is coming... Looks like we have no choice. Drop the anchor and get on swimming to land, mates! Mountain boy, you too! We're spending the day on land!

As the group advanced they caught sight of something coming from the sea. As they came closer, they saw a few men swimming towards the shore. By their weapons they could tell they were pirates.

"My master once said that one eye sees hope and the other sees despair. He always wondered which one I'd lost." She gave one of her small smiles. ""I guess we have learned which. But yes, let us get to shelter, and wonder what obstacle will present itself."

At the sight of the pirates she drew her sword.

"And here it presents itself."

[Sirus]

Harlan gestured towards the men with his head.

: "Any chance that they just want out of the storm as well and will behave themselves?"

[Powder Miner]

Senija groaned from atop Ranzen as the pirates came into view.
:"Uuuugh. Of course!"

[GiglameshDespair]

"My only meeting with pirates, they had... dishonourable motives. Blood was shed. I am not hopeful, but I will not the one to initiate."

Albert watched the pirates swim to shore.
: "Well, there goes my hopes of there being no battle.."

The apparent mountain boy grunts.
  "Got it cap! ... Are we going to ramble or pillage while we're here?!"

: I don't usually fight in land but if we have to, we will!

"Pillage it is..."
