:"Sssure! His name's Ranzen, and he _probably won't bite!"

[Ochita]

Albert's hand had already started to pat the wyvern when he heard the 'probably', and although his patting slowed down, he didn't really stop.
: "Ah.. Probably?"

[Powder Miner]

Senija was sent into a fit of giggling.
:"Eeheeheehee yeah no he won't bite you!"
Ranzen rubbed his head on Albert's hand, pleased by getting petted.

[Ochita]

Despite himself, Albert couldn't help but give a slightly mischievous smile, before starring to fuss Ranzen a little bit more vigorously, even going so far as to scratch under his.. neck, chin?
: "He really is majestic, isn't he..?" And then, Albert grew silent before slowly turning to look at Senija, a look of hope on his face.
: "Uhh, uhm.. You're going to fly with him right? C..Could I join? It's just it sounds pretty amazing up in the sky.."

[Powder Miner]

:"Oohhhhh are you trying to make Isbilya and Laura jeeeeeaaaloooooous?"

[Haspen]

Laura quickly moved near the duo.

"Someone called?"

[GiglameshDespair]

"Hmm? Ah, Harlan, wasn't it? Yes, I plan to search for someone, though I'm still not strong enough. Not alone."
She shrugged.
"Maybe if I hadn't lost my eye. It's a weakness you can only compensate for."

[Sirus]

Harlan nodded as the memory came back to him.

: "That's right...you said something about a 'Waygate'. Who are you looking for, and what's a Waygate for that matter?"

[Ochita]

: "W..What, no I-"
And then Albert Screamed the silent scream.
Moments later, he finally recovered enough to make coherent sentences. Thankfully, his face had somewhat calmed down, and was no longer as red as it once was.
: "Uh, Uh.. No. We were just talking about the Wyvern and I wanted to see what it was like to be in the air on one.."

Senija was not going to show mercy.
:"But theeeen people'd think we're like Tomik and Lillian!"

[Ochita]

Welp that did it, Albert's face grew back into super bashful mode. The situation became suddenly very deadly to him, he was not prepared for this.
: "... I just.. I just wanted to know.. what it would be like in the sky..."

[Haspen]

"Oh I bet it would be grand! Maybe I could come with you two?"

[GiglameshDespair]

"The man who raised me. The waygate is the crossroads between bad and wrong.... and our world. I don't know much about it."

~~~~Chapter 2: Unexpected Guests~~~~

Mason and the group parted ways; Mason to the north, the rest to the east. The various mounts made it easy for them to cover ground without the guards catching up to them, but as they advanced, the signs of a storm became clear.

The party were crossing a river when the winds started to get stronger. Dark clouds were coming from the direction of the sea. A storm was coming, and a signpost pointed that the nearest town was a fisherman's town called Undath, just around a nearby mountain.

"I suppose we should shelter in the town. I doubt a small place will have heard of our ill repute with the local authorities."
