Lilly smiled happily as he kissed her cheek and leaned into him again.

"Oh, of course. And you have plenty you can teach them too, I know it. All the little useful tricks for surviving in the mountains, and how to fly, and how to fight..."

The bard quickly made herself comfortable.

"Mmm. I'll have to learn to cook, and do laundry, and clean. But I'm kinda looking forward to it. Laundry might be long, hard work but at least you don't have to worry about whether or not you'll get through it alive."

Kyle looks up from gathering the stray weapons. It would seem everyone was pairing up for some reason. Weird. He turns his attention back to the weapons.
"... I wonder why we never just grab the weapons after we kill people."

Harold laughed.

: Paying off? Damn right! It's not like I'm set for life, but one job pays well enough to get by for some time. And with the things I learned while traveling with you I bet I can sustain my brother. Things are pretty great for me right now, I got a honest job, I reunited with my brother, I met you...

Senija smiled sunnily.
:"Geez, this is how you get someone to blush, Harold, hehe. But... yeah. We're all happy now. I dunno if I would have been thinking like this a couple of weeks ago, but now everything is better, and I definitely don't regret smacking that officer, hehehe. He deserved it, AND it's led me to where I am now. And this is a lot better of a thing to be doing, with people I do admittedly care about a lot more, than just being an Ixion mercenary."

: Yeah, it's moments like these that make you think "I don't regret anything up to this point". Well, not like I regretted it much before, but now I regret everything even less.

Harold looked up at the sky.

: Hm, we've been out for some time now. Your brother might be getting antsy, and maybe they're waiting on us to get somewhere safer. Wanna continue this date later?

[Powder Miner]

:"Yeah, alright, that's fine by me. But, you know, this was pretty nice, Harold."
Senija then hopped onto Ranzen before patting the area in front of her.
:"Well, c'mon then, Harold!"

[Solymr]

: Yeah, it was, and the wyvern ride is fun too. Harold smiled as he climbed up onto Ranzen again.

:"Hehe, right? That's one of the advantages of being a wyvern rider, I get to do this basically whenever I want!"
Senija's wyvern then soared into the sky with its two passengers...
...Harold and Senija landed near the rest of the group, swiftly but smoothly.
:"Hey, we're back!"

Jacob seemed to be the quickest to react.

: That's the last of you? Well then, let's move. There's not a second to waste.

The group plus Jacob started getting away from the blood soaked, body littered beach, until they found out the other allied forces.
Micheal had finally found the group, and was being introduced to Jacob. They just shook hands when Micheal turned to the group.

: Well done. We managed to take the beach and push back Ixion enough for more ships to come with reinforcements.

: Now I will head to the port city of Ennar and inform them of the situation. They should let you stay the night without trouble.

: Tomorrow morning we'll start marching towards Ixionia. We'll turn Ixion's tactic against them, and even without teleporting, we should be able to reach the gates before any significant amount of defenders return from the frontline, thanks to the efforts of Kizamo to keep them busy. Micheal paused for a second before continuing. But, according to what we've seen you have taken on significantly more defenders on the beach than the other squads. If you want, you can take a day to rest at Ennar, and come with the second wave of reinforcements. What do you say?

"We would appreciate that, Micheal. Thank you."

"I agree. If there's not an urgent need that we be on the front line, a chance to catch out breath after that battle would be appreciated."

  "I feel like we could use it, honestly. Thank you for the offer."

"Do you have to go, dad? Can't you join us for the assault?"

Jacob shook his head.

: Impossible. I need to warn your brother that that maniac might be coming after him. Do you have anything to say to him? Or to me?
