Kyle shrugs.
"Well, all this has got me thinkin'. I don't have any place to go, fighting is all I really have and I'm not about to join the army or go back to piracy to fight for something I don't believe in. I'm thinking that I'm going to make a place in the mountains for people like me who want to fight for something real. A sort of... Mercenary band of people who fight for what they believe in so others don't need to suffer like these folks."
Kyle gestures about to the dead, wounded, and surrendered enemies.
"... Anyways, if you ever decide that you'd like to do something like that I could use someone with your skills. To train people who are magically inclined if nothing else."

"If you'd like. I wouldn't want anything bad to happen to your sister!"

"And you don't have to worry about that. I only have eyes for you. If any guy tries anything, I'll blast 'em."

Laura was twiddling thumbs at some unspecified proximity of the... rest of the guys.

Having finished talking with Anne-Laude, Jacob Sr. unsuspectedly snuck up to his daughter like only a parent can.

: Your ally has informed me of the situation, and now I'll wait until the... Alberalians regroup to speak with the coordinators. Until then, there's time for you to explain your side of the story.

The senior clunkmaster's voice made Laura turn around.

"Uh, which part of it?"

Tomik chuckled as he pulled himself back into the saddle.

"Don't worry. I know you can handle yourself."

Helping her back into the saddle, they set off, soaring through the skies before landing down near Senija and Harold. Hopping off, Tomik grinned.

"Hey, so, we've got some news..."

: All of it! You should start at what happened about Strohnban.
: Oh? Well, you're not the only one... I'll let you go first.

[Haspen]

Laura pointed a thumb at Tomik.

"Tomik and others broke out from the cells and I was, uh, forced or kidnapped, whichever word works here, to leave Strohnban with them. Right..." She looked at Tomik, who was a bit too far to help her explain stuff.

Looking up from his conversation towards Laura and her father, Kyle gives her a look but quickly goes back to his typical facial expression of grumpy.
"Oh yeah, when I met up with you guys they were practically dragging you in chains. Kept threatening to kill you if you didn't go along with them."

Senija smiled sweetly at Harold when he went and treated her wounds.
:""Thanks, Harold!"

When Tomik returned, that sweet smile morphed into a full-blown grin.
:"From your expression, I think I know what that news is!"

"Huh? I don't kinda remember that. Is your head okay, Kyle?"

"... No. But seriously, I thought you were over this "I was kidnapped" shit. Like, I really thought we reached a break through in the hell place. You said something about knowing who really caused this, and then you made nice with Lilly? Remember that?"

Albert turned to look at Kyle, a frown on his face.
  "Thats... Not really how it went, Kyle." Realizing that he involved himself in the conversation, he turned to Lauradad.
"Um.. Well, sir.. I was one of those who escaped from Strohnban. We ended up taking Laura with us, since we were in a rush, but we realized we couldn't leave a guard for fear of what the garrison would do to her after the prison break.. And then she didn't really get a chance to break away from us for a long while while we were running from the law.. I'm sorry, for what it's worth..."

"I mean, we did stop in a couple of nice places to leave... if it wasn't for the fact that somehow we always ended up getting attacked... Okay, maybe you do have a point about her not being able to go."

"Well..."

Tomik turned back and helped Lilly down, wrapping his arm around his shoulders as he did.

"She said yes!  We're engaged!!"
