Tomik frowned and then sighed and slumped a little.

"You're right. Still. I was hoping you'd be happier. I know that your country is in danger, but we at least found people who may help us. Your Lady is safe. And we have a chance to fight back. To fix things..."

[Solymr]

After a few moments Anne-Laude and Phineas stood up and apporached the table where Lamden and Tomik were sitting.

: Good morning, Sir Lamden, Sir Tomik. Sir Phineas and I have reached an agreement.

Phineas cleared his throat and explained.

: I have appointed a council meeting in 5 days in Korsakov, where I will get the approval to send help to Coriven and Auroch. If everything goes right, in a week we will be able to do it. In the meanwhile you can stay here.

Anne-Laude shrugged.

: It seems we will be here for some more time. I appreciate everything done for us.

: You're welcome. Now, if you could answer some-

Phineas was interrupted by an alarm blaring through the city. At first he put on an exasperated face before switching to a more serious one. Nikolai jumped from his chair while Anne-Laude and Mason were more confused.

: What's going on?

: Oh, we're under attack. Ixion apparently made its move. How convenient.

: How is getting attacked convenient?!

: Well, not for us, obviously. I hate interruptions like these. But now we can send aid without need of approval.

: You can do that? Why didn't you say so earlier?

: It's slightly complicated, but I don't need approval to retaliate. I'll say sending aid was part of that.

: Oh you clever fox! I remember why you got elected.

: In any case, I have to deal with this. It shouldn't be much of a problem. Stay here with Nikolai just in case.

And with that Phineas left while the alarm keeps sounding throughout the underground city. Soon after Harold came hurriedly down the stairs, almost tripping and falling over.

: What the hell is that sound?!

"We are under attack, it seems."

[Twinwolf]

Catherine, having grown up in Kizamo, is unfazed by the alarm. She calmly stands up.

"Alarm. The city is under attack."

She quickly walks over to Lamden, handing him one of the heal staves she'd purchased the previous day.

"I noticed your heal staff was starting to show signs of damage."

[Sirus]

: "The city is under attack. Big surprise, huh? After all, we've been here a whole day so they were bound to attack eventually."

[Solymr]

: Oh, and I think we're under attack.

: Dammit, I overslept. So what now? We go out and help?

: Don't worry Phineas got everything under control. But now that I think of it I should check on the generators. I'm not supposed to bring anyone there but just in case something happens do you want to come with me?

[SeriousConcentrate]

"Yeesh. We can't even have one day of peace. I hate Ixion."

With a sigh, Lilly stood and grabbed her guitar from her back.

"That sounds like a good idea, Nikolai. If that masked man told them about Kizamo he probably mentioned your generator things, so they might be in danger."

[Sirus]

: "I'm not sure what we could possibly do if the masked man does show up, but Lilly's right. We might as well make ourselves useful."

Kyle looks annoyed at the alarms but eventually shrugs.
"I'll go with you to the generators as well... Though, I personally think someone should go with Phineas just in case."

[Swordstar]

"Splitting up our group seems unwise, especially when Phineas declined to take any of us with him. Better to stick together. Everyone, bring your full equipment. The city is under attack after all. We need to be prepared for anything."

[Ochita]

Albert stumbled down the stairs, hooking his head though his robes.
  "Wh-what's going on?!" He asked, rubbing his head. After presumably getting filled in, he sighed.
  "No rest for the weary, apparently.. Well, I'm ready to go, lets hope we don't encounter any ixion soldiers.."

[Solymr]

Nikolai took the group out of the guesthouse. Outside, the Ixion soldiers hadn't taken the streets yet, and there were mages running towards the sound of nearby battle, some a bit overenthusiastic at the thought of finally releasing all the built up tension over the last days of expecting an attack.

The group was guided down the streets to a side of the city away from most of the action, until they reached a reinforced door to a closed off area. Nikolai approached the door.

: Hmm... The door's not locked. This is bad. Get yourselves ready.

The group tensed up as Nikolai opened the door to a dark corridor. He pressed a switch inside and the corridor lighted up, revealing it was long and empty.

[Swordstar]

Tomik grimaced.

"Right then. I'm going in first. The rest of you, follow behind me and keep an eye out. Laura, maybe you should bring up the back? Protect our back and help keep us safe. Healers and mages in the middle, protected by the rest of us just in case this is a trap."

[Solymr]

The party proceeded in formation through the corridor, walking a good way until reaching a pair of doors, one to the right and one to the left.

: This is the generator door.

Nikolai went and checked the door on the left.

: It's unlocked. Open it whenever you're ready.

[Swordstar]

Tomik slid on his helm and gave the group one final look over.

"Right then, if everyone is ready, lets do this."

He placed his hand on the door and waited for a second to make sure no one needed more time.
