Kyle nods and heads off to haul around rocks for the cairn.

Laura considered her words for a while.

"I would say 'Fix Ixion', but that is beyond my reach. Instead, I will do what I planned before. Find a husband. Settle down. Raise a happy family. And for this I need your help."

"I-In getting out of here! Not with, uh, the goal itself, _{uh, s-sorry}."

Tomik chuckled slightly and pat her shoulder.

"No worries, I understood what you meant. Still, you're right. Why don't we go back to the rest of the group and see what we can find out? After all, I feel like Mason might know more than he's let on. He's been after the Waygate the whole time we've known him after all."

[Haspen]

Laura, filled with D.E.T.E.R.M.I.N.A.T.I.On, had her brain work at 800% efficiency that would make some members of proletariat proud.

"Maybe he is with Ixion? I mean, didn't you guys say he basically got keys or lockpicks on his own? I mean, he doesn't look like a guy who knows how to sneak around or pick a lock..."

"I don't think he is. I mean, he used to be a thief before he turned prophet. But even if he is, he may still know something useful so probably best not to accuse him of anything just yet."

[Haspen]

Laura lowered her tone.

"_{Sorry for breaking your hug with Lily, too... I just needed to have one sting at her before putting off the hostility toward her. Sorry, but I swear it was the last time.}"

"I think I heard her crying earlier though. Could you...?"

[Swordstar]

"You probably shouldn't have done that, but ok. And could I what?"

[Haspen]

"Explain why she was crying? What did happen?"

[Swordstar]

"Ah. We were just talking about some of the stuff that's happened between us. And she was explaining why it happened. I don't think I should get any further into it than that since it was a private conversation, sorry."

[Haspen]

"I see. Let's return to the group, then." And she did, without waiting for Tomik.

[Solymr]

Mason was sitting in a rock near the group, resting and waiting for everyone to pick themselves up a bit. When Tomik and Laura got back, he got up.

: If you don't mind a suggestion, why don't we start making our way over there?

Mason pointed at the beacon of light coming from somewhere uphill.

"Give us a minute and we'll be done here!"
Kyle says putting the final stone on the cairn. He turns to Ketsuki.
"Now then, you wanted a quick prayer for him?"

Tomik nodded to Mason as he walked over to Senija.

"Good call, I'd forgotten about that in all the chaos of the battle."

Nudging Senija with his shoulder, he smiled at her.

"You doing alright?"
