: It's not how long but more of where. If you go under the scope in some other place or cross the border it's alright for me. I just need them to think that they know where I could be. Let's go outside, time's a wastin'.

"Is he ignoring us?"

"Fine, whatever, I will go with the rest of the group anyways."

I don't really like any of this... but I guess I signed up for it when I broke out with the rest, huh?

Lilly sighed internally.

"I guess we're as ready as we'll ever be?"

The group went outside, and the door of the inn closed behind them.

: I'm gonna help you with a couple of escape routes. The first is to the west, to Alberal, but you can't cross the border on foot. I tried doing that and it didn't work out. Your best bet that way would be going to Rakush and try to get in a ship to Alberal.


Meanwhile a very different group was walking down the road towards the Arena. One of the men expressed his surprise about this fact.

To the arena? But Sgt. Hyman never has gambled before.

The man at the front turned to whoever spoke.

: And I never do. I have an "arrangement" with the owner of that arena. Let's just say that you shouldn't bet for the one eyed sword.

Hyman laughed and the rest of his men followed.


: The second route is to the east, around the coastline. That part is still Ixion, so you'll have to move faster than the news, but if you're not sure you'll be able to get a ship to the west you can go this way. You'll be close to Dargas, so I guess you can go wherever you know from there, I myself don't know much about that part. Well, it's been nice to see you, but now I have to go my way-

Mason turned around, but stopped dead on his tracks when he saw a familiar figure at the other end of the street.


The squad followed down the road, but Hyman ordered to stop when he saw someone in front of the inn across the street.

What's wrong, sir?

: That man. I recognize him. He made us gave him a hell of a chase right up to the Alberal border. I managed to trap him there, but apparently he has evaded us again, probably thanks to the group of people he's with. Apprehend them all.

Sgt. Hyman made signals to the soldiers. Soon a small squad of guards appeared from the road Mason and the group came from.

: Well... shit. Looks like we still have one fight left to do. I guess the sneakier option just went down the gutter... Sorry about that.

"I don't really want to go to Alberal... but if we have to, maybe we can lay low at my family's place for awhile?"

She wasn't really looking forward to the possibility of seeing her parents again. Before she could think too deeply about it, they were under attack.

"Yeesh, already? I was hoping we could at least get out of town before being caught..."

Lamden carefully flanked the others quietly. He strained to listen in without trying to expose himself outright, but there was an inkling feeling that he wasn't quite hidden. His ears perk when mentions are made that the group could escape to the west.
: "To Alberal, hm..."
As shouts fill the air, Lamden's gaze shifts over to the rest of the town. His right arm in a quickly-fashioned sling, he instead pulls the staff he found aboard the ship at the ready in his left. For now, it seems, he opts to keep a distance from the others, face heavy as he weighs his options.

[Powder Miner]

:"I've never been big on geography OR caution, so I don't really care where we go! Wherever you guys want, I guess!"
She then smacked her gauntlets together before hopping on Ranzen and grabbing her lance.
:"For now, though, it's time to take care of these jerks!"

"I will go ask people to not get involved."

"... Claire, go warn the villagers and then catch up. We don't want innocents getting caught in this."

"Well, I'm sure we'll make it if we just win this! They don't seem to have called for reinforcements, after all."
Hearing what Tomik had to say, Claire replied.
"Yes, I suppose I can do that."

"Hello, is anyone in there? I just want to warn you that we're in the middle of a battle outside."

: "Th.. The army?! Ohhh..." Albert shudders, but composes himself.
Albert: To K-8!

Clare enters the house. There's nothing really interesting there except...

Seeing someone at the door out the corner of her eye, the blue-clothed swordswoman span, ripping her sword from it's sheath and swinging.

"^Hyyyyaa_aaohwaitttt!"

Desperately, she changed the path of the sword, sending it thudding into the doorframe above Claire's head.

"Ah, sorry! I thought you were.. someone else. I didn't mean to nearly chop your head off."

She pulled the sword from the door with a twang.

"So, erm... why are you in here?"

Clareq quickly ducked when she heard the swordswoman swing her sword, though to her relief, she missed with it anyways.
"Like I already said, there's a battle outside. You do look like you can handle yourself. You're not a civilian, are you?"
