[SeriousConcentrate]

"Right. Well, last I heard he was to lead a platoon of Church soldiers. Um, you'll know him if you see him. He's quite large, blond, green eyes like mine, stern face."

[Ochita]

  "I... I don't know, I'd rather choose clothes that I like at my own pace.. Sorry.." Albert tried to pull himself out of Laura's grip, his voice shrinking as he talked.

[Haspen]

"Oh." Laura... let him go.

"I'm sorry."

[GiglameshDespair]

Ketsuki hummed thoughtfully.
"Well, if you wish to do something else... actually, we had a prior activity planned, did we not, Albert?"

[Sirus]

Catherine looks up from her notes, and sees a book sticking out of Harlan's back pocket. She taps him on the back.

"Can I have that?" she says, indicating the book.

: "Hmm? Oh, yeah. Here." Harlan passed the slightly-used Bolting tome over. "Any idea what it is?"

[Twinwolf]

"It's a really rare tome." She says, flipping through the pages. "Unfortunately it breaks easy, and it's lightning instead of fire, but still not something I though I'd see. Where'd you get it?"

[Sirus]

: "Stole it from the leader of those dragoons. Figured he wouldn't be needing it for much longer. I can't use it, so you can have it if you want. No charge."

[Twinwolf]

"Thanks. I'll put it to good use." She says. She turns away, then turns back. "What do you think of the whole thing with the guy with blue armor and guitar-girl?"

[Sirus]

The thief shrugged and sighed.

: "Hell, I don't know. It probably could have been better handled. I don't know for sure, but I think that they're both each other's first romance, and they can get a bit stupid over it." He thought for a moment before continuing. "The girl, Lillian...I didn't think she'd be foolish enough to want to run off on her own. Either she's a great deal more airheaded than I would have thought possible, or she's got some major issues that she doesn't want anyone else to know about. Things that she thinks would drive Tomik and anyone else away."

[Twinwolf]

"Tomik and Lillian are their names, got it. And I agree. Going off what I got from the words I heard, that was not well handled."

"Second question; Who are you guys, actually? I mean, I've basically decided I'm going with you all regardless, but I'd like to know what I'm getting into."

[Sirus]

: "Fair enough. Okay, here goes: Tomik, his sister Senija, the priest Albert, Lillian, and I were all prisoners at the Ixionise prison Strohnban. There were a couple of others, but they left on their own. Anyway, we broke out with the help of some sort of prophet and Laura, who was one of the guards. We sorta threatened her to come with us and now she's along for the ride. We met the others later on while we ran for Kizamo, and when we got there a strange mage kidnapped Lillian for...some reason." He wasn't being evasive; he really couldn't remember. "Anyway, we saved her but the mage got away saying something about a gate, and then we found out about Ixion going to war, and we flew here on a boat..." His voice trailed off as he realized just how outrageous and rambling the tale was, and decided to sum it all up. "Basically, we're all dangerous people, some of us are wanted for high crimes, and the fate of the world might be in jeopardy."

[Twinwolf]

"...A couple things; I thought Strohnban was inescapable? Why'd you leave Kizamo? And this seems a lot more interesting than staying here and probably being arrested for blasphemy if that's a thing they do."

[Sirus]

: "That's what I thought too. This 'prophet', a fellow by the name of Mason, managed to smuggle in a lockpick which he used to spring us from our cells. We snuck out as quickly as possible, hijacked a ship, and sailed it to the mainland. We left Kizamo because...well, they don't exactly treat non-mages kindly there, especially once they found out where we had come from. Plus the whole imminent doom-of-the-world thing."

[Ochita]

Albert paused for a moment before he realized just what Ketsuki meant, and terror clouded his vision.
  "W-W-wait! We can still shop around, i-it just mean's I might not t-try on some things you suggest!" Albert's voice wavered for a momentm as he looked at Ketsuki, doing his best to keep any signs of fear out of his face.

"I suppose you are right... we will have time to do both. I am sure you are looking forward to it as much I am."
