: "So she made it home, then... thank the gods."
Lamden, on passing by the statues leading into the church, made a short gesture towards the sun statue and nodded, closing his eyes. And a moment later, flinched when Harlan and Kyle spoke.
: "Wh-..!" The cavalier scratched the back of his head.
: "Well, surely my modest demeanor put you all off guard, hm?"

Harlan ignored Kyle's "contribution" to the conversation.

: "I suppose that's part of it. Still though, it's pretty obvious you are no mere priest. Even in a theocracy, the city guards don't typically ask "how high?" when asked to jump by a religious figure. Not unless he was either high-ranked or well-placed."

[SeriousConcentrate]

"What? No, I don't hate you."

"I'm just frustrated. I haven't seen or heard from my brother or sister in almost nine years, and I kinda ran away from home on... REALLY... bad terms so I bet my father has been burning my letters."

"Sometimes I wonder if they still think of me at all."

[Powder Miner]

Senija sighed in relief at that first part.
:"That's so much of a relief... I thought you hated me and Tomik now."
:"Anyway... couldn't we help? Like... we could get people to help bust the siege in Coriven and then you could get there PLUS you wouldn't have to face anyone alone because we'd all be there for you? Or... something like that?"
:"And... heh, I guarantee you, if you loved each other at all they haven't forgotten you."

[Haspen]

Laura kept herself behind Tomik's back and at distance of no more than five meters from him.

Cuz Laura, an Ixionese, would considering it a suicide to be this deep in enemy territory alone.

Speaking of lone Ixionese...

"Where did Albert go!?"

Albert, for his part had immediately split away from Kyle, and was now exploring the main street, occasionally looking into shops, but keeping an eye on the nearest church steeple.

Actually, this was probably a good time...

Ketsuki slipped after Albert, walking up behind the priest as he looked into a shop window.

"Hello, Albert."

[Ochita]

Albert gasped, and turned around, sighing and rubbing his head once he saw it was only Ketsuki, and not anybody who might actually hurt him.
  "Oh.. Ketsuki, you scared me for a moment there."

[SeriousConcentrate]

"Well... that's something I'd actually rather deal with alone. Sorry."

"We don't even know if there's a siege on Coriven. The woman we helped said 'maybe' there was."

"And about them thinking of me... well, something very bad happened the same night I left. It was an accident, but..."

[GiglameshDespair]

"It might not  be wise for you to wander about alone... you are wearing Ixionite robes, after all." She looked into the window. "Looking for anything in particular?"

[Ochita]

  "Well.. Lamden did say it would be fine, and I trust him, so..."
  "Ah, well. I was actually maybe thinking about getting some plainer robes, robes that aren't Ixion's.."

[GiglameshDespair]

Ketsuki looked down at her own clothes... they were showing the signs of battle.

"Hmm... some new clothing might do well. Perhaps purple would suit you."

[Powder Miner]

Senija mentally backstepped, having apparently said pretty much all the wrong things (aaaagh).
:"Er-- well, if you want to face them alone, I wouldn't force you to not... do that. And-- well, I'd hold Tomik back if he tried to, yeah? I'm stronger than he is."
Senija had the distinct impression she was just digging herself deeper, but:
:"Anyway... it might be under siege, and I'm not usually one for caution but... if there IS one... all sorts of bad. Plus I'm pretty sure that most of the area is under Ixion occupation or under attack by 'em. So... you could at least let us help you get there once we can...?"
:"And... well... I don't really know what it is and I won't make you tell or anything but... they shouldn't hate you. And even if they did... it's been years, I'm sure you could turn it around. If they did hate you. Which-- which they shouldn't."

[SeriousConcentrate]

"Well, I've been thinking about it. And if there's a war on, then my older brother Micheal must be around somewhere. If I can at least find him, I can ask him."

"Assuming he'll talk to me..."

Lilly sighed.

"I guess I'll just have to wait and see."

[Ochita]

  "Purple..? I dont know, I don't think purple would suit me that well, would it?"

"I think with the right hat, it'd work."
