Senija looked down.
:"I, I'm sorry..."

Lilly didn't say anything in response to the twins. There didn't seem to be much point. Instead she crossed her arms and turned to Catherine.

"Sorry, it looks like you're stuck with us. Forever."

Tomik quietly muttered to himself,

"Yeah, sorry sorry we care enough about you to try and keep you alive..."

A little louder, he called out to Catherine,

"Welcome to the group. If you want to keep fighting with us, you're welcome. Otherwise, you're free to stay safe in Auroch with the others we're taking there. With this war going on, it's dangerous out there after all."

"Uh... alright, then. I'm Catherine."

To be perfectly honest, she'd intended to ask if she could come with anyway; she was traveling anyway, and it didn't seem very safe to go alone. She'd say more, but it didn't seem appropriate at this particular time.

Of course, Twin is neither man nor woman but an unholy eldritch abomination like every other Bay12er. The difference is they hide it better.

Senija quietly walked over to her brother and just clamped him in a hug, armor clanging as she did so.

Tomik sighed slightly and ruffled her hair after returning the hug.

"Sorry you got hurt in all of this Sen. I know this can't be easy for you either."

Senija mumbled to her brother, hopefully quietly enough that only he could hear (and frankly muffled by her head being pressed against his armor).
:"'s more my fault than yours. I actually made her stay."

"It is not more your fault. You were doing it at least partially because of me, and I was the one who was threatening to chase after her if she did leave. Don't blame yourself, ok? You did what you thought was best, and it's ok."

How dare Lily even think she knows what she feels!? Laura was seething, but due to the seething, the moment for proper outburst of anger was gone. Now if she would yell, it would be awkward and she would look like a fool.

She took a deep breath and then turned to Catherine once introductions started.

"I'm Laura..." She stopped short of her family name, thinking for a moment.

"Just call me Laura."

After landing in Alberal, and having fought against the invading Ixion forces already, the party made its way towards the city of Auroch, hometown of Lamden. A few days passed before they saw the outline of the city into the distance, the church towering over all other buildings.

The party was getting close to the city's walls when a mounted soldier came up and gave them an order to stop, unusual for them since Alberal wasn't as strict as Ixion. The cavalier was dressed in the colors of Auroch, bearing a shield with the symbols of both earth and sun, the main gods in this area.

Halt! Identify yourselves!

Lamden held his silence stoically throughout the entire trip, even in the face of the trouble between Tomik and Lillian. His face only relaxed when he could see his hometown in the distance.
: "...To think I would have never seen home again." The cavalier visibly breathed a sigh of relief.
Lamden took to the front of the group when he saw the dispatched guard approaching.
: "Hm. I suppose it's been some time, hasn't it." Holding his posture despite his broken arm, he answered, "Second Watch, Church Vanguard, Anne-laude's detail. Lamden. I have much to report."

The rider raised an eyebrow at Lamden.

Not possible, Anne Laude's detail had to be rebuilt not long ago, so-

He stopped himself when he recognized the name.

Lamden you say? Wait here a moment, please.

The rider said a few words to other nearby members of the guard and rode off.

Albert shuffled looking down at his robes and slowly made his way over to Lamden's side.
"Mmm.. Lamden, will these robes make any problems..? They are Ixion priesthood robes, and... Well..." Albert left the war part unsaid, and looked at the city, wondering when the riders will return.
