: I'm afraid it's total war by now... But you should make good use of the day Phineas gave you and rest because you got roughed up where you went. Don't worry about my invention, I've tested it before and it worked alright!

: Oh! Now that you mention it I should tell you more about the person that caused you all that grief.

: He's classed as a terrorist here and calls himself the Twilight Walker and he's got some strange powers.

"Those powers do not include a good naming sense, I see."

"We noticed the powers thing. He seems to be able to teleport with ease and also has dark magic and light magic powers. He took this... artifact. I believe Abel called it the Ruinic Key?"

"Yes. The runic key. Personally I think he's trying to unlock that thing those prophets are raving about."

[Solymr]

: Yeah he's the reason we had to develop antiteleport fields. Usually to teleport you need elaborate runes and rituals on both ends but he apparently can just do it in a flash so you can figure out the ruckus he caused when he broke in the shield generator room. And he's right you probably mean the Runic-

At this point Nikolai went white and stopped talking.

"Yeah, it was mentioned it would be bad if it truly is that. Uhm... I don't suppose it could be used to take down those fields you mentioned?"

Nikolai took a few second until the blood ran to his face again.

: That's exactly what it can do. It's supposed to be able to open anything. Fortunately there's also guards in place so it's not like it would go unnoticed.

"Would said guards be able to fight him off?"

She had a feeling hse knew the answer.

"No offense but why care about a little city in the desert when there are much bigger fish to fry? Think of all the places without teleportation protection."

"I wonder how many magical artefacts are in a city like this?"

[Solymr]

: The guards should be able to overwhelm him in that case. But we think it's a personal matter he has with Kizamo. You see, he comes from Alberal.

: Apparently he was considered a heretic or something like that and he tried to come to one of the Kizamo cities to learn about his powers but... You know how they usually treat strangers...

"Hm. You should start packing your bags."

: "He's from Alberal? I had never heard of such a person in my time..."
Lamden shook his head.
: "That is beside the point now. I had asked you a question earlier, Sir Nikolai, and it seems I must repeat myself. What is the nature of your invention?"

: It's a new method of transport but don't be impatient. You'll see it soon enough.
