: "I'm... sorry, can you repeat that? I believe I may have misheard what you said."

: Well... According to what we know Ixion is invading Alberal so... it would be more north than south...

: Good news is I can take you through the desert with my best invention so it will take no time!

Albert was snapped out of his sleepy state by the news, sparing a glance towards Lamden before turning back to Nikolai
  "Y...you mean like.. Outright war?"

"What sort of form does this invention take? And how likely is it to detonate?"

Lamden seemed to take a couple moments before addressing Nikolai in a stressed voice.
: "Prepare this 'invention' for travel to Alberal immediately. I will accept no later than next sunrise."

Laura felt extremely bummed. Even more than before Lily's kidnapping, and even more before her forced leave from prison.

:"Oh of course, things couldn't be simple anyway... now there's a WAR too?!"

"Damn. First that enemy with the black and white mask, now this... We're dealing with two fronts right now, one of which we don't even know where it is. Lamden... I know you want to get there quickly, but we need to rest. We're all exhausted, and if we don't rest we'll be useless."

"Are we likely to encounter the rogue in the mask again? Since he gained his objective, it is possible we may not see him again. The war - and evading it - takes priority."
