: Let's see... First I pressed the east one, then I started running towards the south one, but halfway there the trap sprung and I decided to get out.

: "That was just one try, correct? Did you attempt anything past that?"

[Solymr]

: All I attempted was to get out of here. That one try was enough to convince me that I couldn't do this alone.

: "And you were going from the east one to the south, correct? Did you, by chance, see where the trap sprung from? How would it know you were heading from the eastern button to the south?"

Zane looked at the numbers, then back at the buttons on the walls.

"Why did you try East first? And then South as the next choice?"

"Why don't I break the trap? It has to hella old by now."

[Solymr]

: I was... trying my luck, see how it reacted, dodge out of the way of any traps. But there was... something noisy. It tracked me from the wall, and shot directly at me. It does seem like east is the first one to be pressed, but there's nothing more I can say about it.

"While I've no issue with solving our problems with gratuitous levels of violence, we wouldn't know where to even begin on dismantling it, since we don't know where the trap is, nor do we know the purpose of this room in general, so I'd advice not touching things until we have an idea of what we're doing."

"Kyle, just *stop*. We're not breaking anything, we don't know what that would do. It could cause this whole temple to come down on us. So just... don't."

Zane thought over the code as Abel had presented it, and thought as to how the 2's stood out from the rest.

"What if we try pressing the Eastern button twice? If Abel is right on the code, then the 2 at the beginning might not be part of the directions, but rather a part of how the code is interpreted. Maybe the 3 is east, and we need to hit it twice."

"Perhaps it is how many times we should press each button, going round the circle?"

: "I think that's unnecessarily lengthy, that would take some tens of presses. I am more convinced each number corresponds to a button, given how few numbers are used."

[mastahcheese]

"The problem is that there are 5 numbers, to 4 choices. One of the numbers has to not correlate to a button."

"It's gotta be the twos, they're the only ones that are present on both the left and right sides of the sequence, and they're also the only ones that are not a multiple or factor of three. The twos stand out from the others, we just need to figure out what they're telling us..."
