: "Don't know about magic sensitivity, but I do know that growing up in the slum gangs gives one a healthy survival instinct. Those who fail to develop those instincts tend to not last long."

Go left btw.

"Hmm... Adapt or die.. Slums.." And Alberts figure slumped slightly, before straightening back up. "W.. Well, let's just keep on going. There's no way I'm going to to let anyone here die, instincts or not."

"Is it just me or are the traps we're encountering designed to hinder rather than kill? I'm not sure about the dart that nearly hit you, but the others have been non-lethal thus far."

: "Normally the purpose of nonlethal traps is so you can capture the intruder, torture them for information, then execute them. But these ruins are probably hundreds of years old, and whoever made the traps is long dead. I have no idea why we're only being hindered instead of killed outright."

"I am not sensitive to magic, so I could not say. As for being nonlethal, perhaps their potentcy has faded over ages."

"Thanks... to be honest I don't even know why I came along, the only thing I've ever been really good at was getting hit and staying standing. And unless we're going to get attacked in a coordinated way that's not much use..."
Alessa gave the former prisoner a comforting smile.

"Listen to Ketsuki. As far as her experiences are from yours--there's intelligence in analogy."

She took out an arrow and played her childhood game of spinning it in between her left hand; she was right handed.

"What I mean, is that she has a very good point--we all have potential unawakened within us, and generally its the case of inhibition which stops it, always firstly coming from the environment before we begin to inhibit ourselves. Usually because we've believed them before seeking more than what we thought was possible."

Noting the idea of traps, Alessa pondered on another idea.

"Who wants to bet on the idea that: one, we're being watched as we go through here, or two, they're watching the exits so they'll be sure we get out with their prize? Noting the first impression of this place, I bet there's a secret exit, in times of trouble and all that."

Kyle clears his throat.
"Maybe they have voyeur magics. I mean, Harold said that he wasn't even at the meeting point to be told about it right? And he knew to snatch up Lilly. Although, it makes one wonder why the bitch doesn't just do it himself if he's got enough power to watch us from a long ways off..."

The group went left again, and this time it was Alessa who took the trap's blast. A blast of sand to be precise. A stream of sand shot out of the wall, leaving her "armor" crackling and charged with electricity.

The party reached another branching in the path, so I must ask again, left or straight forward?

Laura bonks against wall, back away, stumbles against Kyle, grumbles, then goes forward.
