Kyle waves at the group. He squints and starts gesturing in a manner the suggests he's counting them up. Finally he stops and asks a question.
"Hey, where's Lilly? I was going to ask if she knew this one song when she got back..."

Albert tried to clear the snot away when he was close to the house, but failed miseralbly. Now his sleeve was even more stained, and his eyes still hadn't cleared up. He'd have to worry about that more later, and once he met up with the rest of the group he did a small head count, realizing that Lillian wasn't there, and judging by what the mage said...
  "D..Don't tell me that it's Lillian that's been kidnapped.." Albert bit his lip, and took a couple of breaths.
  "We have to find her!"

[Sirus]

Harlan punched a nearby wall.

: "These friends of yours like to play hardball, don't they? Let's get back to the others; you can tell me more about this temple and this artifact on the way."

With Harold in tow, the thief returned to the house.

[Solymr]

: I guess they want whatever it is at all costs. I don't even know what it is, other than the fact that it's a very important thing and apparently it's shaped like a sphere.

Harold followed Harlan to the house while explaining.

: When I got there though, it was filled with traps, which I wasn't really surprised about, but then I arrived at a large room with one switch in each wall. I tried fiddling with them a little but I couldn't activate them all at once, and then something attacked me. Didn't get a good look at what it was but it waas clear that I wasn't gonna be able to do anything there by my own. And then I arrive here and this went down.

: Honestly, I'm worried that your friend there will take a swing at me. Not that I don't deserve it, but still I wouldn't want to take a hit from him.
Now that everyone was in the house, Nikolai heard what Albert said and freaked out.

: Somebody's been kidnapped?!

[Sirus]

Harlan immediately walked up to Tomik, ignoring the old man.

: "We couldn't find any sign of Lilly or the people who took her. Harold's thinking that the best way to get her back would be to return to that ruined temple in the desert and find whatever it is that these people want."

"Then we kill them right?"

[Sirus]

Harlan decided not to bring up the whole "killing for any reason is wrong" speech from earlier. The pirate was so unstable that he might not even remember it.

: ""Possibly, yes. Depends on how many of them there are and if we can take them. If we can't, we trade the artifact for Lilly and get the hell out of town." Part of being a skilled thief was knowing when to cut and run, and Harlan's "flight" instinct was currently dominating his survival reflexes.

Kyle shakes his head.
"We need to control the situation. If they think they can get away with this and we stay together for much longer pretty soon everyone will think we're pushovers. And may I remind you that that will include your brother as well? I'm sure you don't want people bullying him because of this."

[Sirus]

: "These sorts of people are *used* to getting away with things. If anyone stands up to them, they kill the poor bastards for being inconvenient. We're talking about thugs who make your pirate gang look tame in comparison."

: "I'd rather be considered weak but alive than get us all killed, wouldn't you?"

[Swordstar]

"Fine. We'll go to the temple. And then we're getting her back."

[Sirus]

: "Damn right we will.
...oh right. I was going to tell you about this earlier, but in all the excitement...well, rumors are going about that Ixion might be planning to attack the city. We better get this thing done right away and get back on the road."

[Swordstar]

"... Damn. I'd kinda been hoping... Right. Not important now. Lets go then. No more waiting."

"An existance where people walk all over you is worse than death. And we killed people if they didn't surrender. That's just pragmatism. And these are mages, mages are fucking wimps. No offense."

[Swordstar]

"Kyle, shut up. If you were against Harlan killing the bandit in the desert, you can't argue for us killing someone who is willing to trade peacefully. As much as I want to destroy the person who did this, if we can get Lilly back without risking anyone's life, that's what we're going to do. End of story."

"Big difference with that actually, the guy in the dessert surrendered. These guys struck first and without cause. Therefore, I'm going to kill them as soon as the deal is done."
