Abel to turns to Alessa, slowing the pace slightly to allow himself to speak without running out of breath.

"Underground? But aren't we already underg- Actually, never mind. As far as I know there aren't any places particularly deserted. There might be a few old abandoned laboratories or something similar lying around, but almost everywhere in this city is used and I'm really not familiar enough with it to be familiar with those that aren't... We'll have to ask the old man."

"Sad to say, but the kidnappers could be almost anyw-"

He suddenly stops, noticing a blonde-haired man in priest vestments leaving a bar.

"Wait, isn't that guy over there part of your group? The sad-looking one in blue and white. I think we should go tell him what's going on."

"Hmm." That could have probably gone better. She sipped the drink while she waited. Yes, alcoholic. Very. She sighed and put it down.

Harold looked at Harlan with a blank expression before remembering what he asked.

: I don't know! Maybe they were following me to make sure I retrieved the thing I was supposed to get... Hell, if you hadn't found me back there maybe I wouldn't have gotten out anyways.

: I swear all he gave me was the info, and I just said "I'll check it out, but I make no promises". Then when I got there I couldn't get very far, I got ambushed by some... Things, and I had to get out because I couldn't do it by myself. I didn't find anything of value.

Lillian didn't get an answer until suddenly what she saw as a shadow spoke.

Don't worry, dear. I assure you, whether your friend follows my instructions or not... You won't feel any pain.

Lillian thoughy she could see a glint of white from where the voice was coming. She could hear someone walking away from her and a door closing. The shadow figure had left.

"Wait! Come back! What friend? Why are you doing this?"

The door shut. It didn't look like she was getting any answers.

Running over to Albert, Abel starts explaining things hurriedly.

"You're one of those people from the group who came to the old man's place, right? Someone from your party has been kidnapped and you need to all head back to his house as soon as possible. At least, that's what the blonde-haired guy in the armor said."

"And before you ask, I have no idea who was taken. That girl behind me in the stifling armor might know, but otherwise we're in the dark."

Harlan growled.

: "And did you explain any of this to your contact once you got back, or were you just hoping that he'd forget?"

: Thing is, when I came here I couldn't find him in the place we were supposed to meet. All I found was that damn note.

Harold put his hands on his head in despair.

: She might not even be in the city anymore... I think the only real option we have is to go back there and find the artifact.

: "No, that's not what we do. We find your contact and have a friendly sit-down with him. We'll need Lilly's help if the tomb's as dangerous as you say. Now, where did you first meet this guy?"

Zane was about to say something back when everyone came running by.

"Well, that was the shortest conversation I've ever had."

Albert, still being somewhat out of it, was surprised and embarrassed by his state when the mage ran up, and then his blood grew cold.
"W-what..? Why should I.." It was then, that Albert saw Alessa, whose presence convinced him that it might not be a lie. Shaking his head he took a couple of steps back. "Y..You're not lying, are you.."
"Okay.. G-gimme a minute." And with that, Albert retentered the bar, quickly walking back to Ketsuki, with a pretty troubled expression on his face.
"Ketsuki.. One of our group's been K..Kidnapped. I think we need to return to where Nikolai was, where we'll meet up and.." Albert shook his head, and grabbed one of Ketsuki's arms, and tugged to show how Urgent it was. "We have to go now, I don't want whoever was kidnapped to have to suffer any more than they have to."
Regardless of Ketsuki's reaction, Albert ran out of the pub, and joined the race back to the house.

Continuing to run along with everyone, speaking to Albert.

"Um... I can tell you that aside from the people here... I've seen three others since the commotion started.  The guy who had the business to deal with when you arrived, and two men in purple who look like they may have been related...
We might not know who it was, but we can be sure it wasn't one of them who was taken."

"I see." Ketsuki responded flatly, and stood up.
"Thanks for the drink." she said to the bartender and followed Albert, her long strides keeping up..

: Alright, I'll show you around to see if we can find anything.

Harold took Harlan where they first met, and where they were supposed to meet, but both places were apparently deserted now. Then they went scouting around town, but they couldn't find any clues or any citizen willing to help them.

Meanwhile at the house Nikolai was tinkering with his equipment when the people came back.

: Welcome back! What do you think of- He stopped smiling when he saw the expressions on everybody's faces. ...What's wrong? Did something happen?
