: "Really, what I would call crazed is how these blasted things are growing in such an inhospitable land in the first place. If the farmers back home knew how to grow in such conditions, it could help an immense number of people far and wide!"

"I suppose. But how would that change the world? There's a reason for everything that happens you know."

Lamden glanced at Kyle.
: "I'm not sure I understand. Yes, everything happens for a reason, but more often than not the reason can be traced to one individual who is guided to the right place at the right time. Just a shred of divine knowledge, spread amongst humanity, can bring everyone one step closer to the shining example set. The Gods rarely work directly."

"But what if the gods keep this secret for a reason? To much of a good thing is bad you know."

Lamden scratched his ear.
: "I'm not so keen on that. Good powers are many times wielded by those who seek power for themselves, and are just as many times removed by others who see them trample over the common man. But wielded in the hands of all those who hold his fellow man over himself, and holds themselves to the ideals of justice, what does it matter how many hold it?"

"Okay, take for example that Ixion got this technology, there would a bunch more living people right?"

Laura returns to wherever Tomik is.

"Tomik! Something have happened!"

"Lily ran off and I can't find her. She was, uh, depressed."

: "Hmm. Not the ideal comparison. Ideally, I would argue for all nations to have this knowledge. But yes, more mouths to feed would be a realistic outcome."

"What? Do you know why? Ugh, which way did she go, did you see?"

"Well, what happens when people use up all the space they have? People get sick and die or have to do bad stuff to live. There's already to many people for cities to support, what happens when everywhere is like that?""

"No... I tried looking in some remote, peaceful places where a girl like her would go to but I didn't see her there. And, uh, she kinda ran off when I tried to apologize for you know what..."

: "Given the circumstances around the lands today, are you implying this isn't a problem already?" Lamden held his hand out the window and set the leaf calmly on a small patch of foliage, "Food may not solve that problem, but it will at least keep some from starving and losing hope. Perhaps in due time, we will find a solution to the land issue as well."

"Damn. I thought something was wrong with her earlier but she said everything was ok... Ugh, alright. Maybe... Maybe there's a tavern or something where she can sing? Alessa, Abel, sorry, I need to go. Laura, if you want to continue to help look for her, we can try to find different taverns and bars to try and find her, if not, I understand."

"I kinda feel obliged to salvage the situation, so..." She turned toward the door.
