When the duo were on the ground, Albert stumbled, until he was resting against a wall. He drew his knees closer to himself, he continued to be quiet, staring down at his feet.

Abel turns to Tomik once more.

"You know, I probably should have asked this while you were all together, but I guess now is suitable as well. Why are you all here in this city?
I can tell by your appearance that you aren't ordinary travelers. Are you mercenaries?"

Looking away, he continues.

"I guess I shouldn't pry into other's business, but I can't help but be curious. Since the old man brought you here I'll assume you're trustworthy, so if you feel like you can tell me your purpose, please do."

This was a mess... this was why she hated mages (present company excluded). If they had insanity-causing staves, they should probably put up a 'do not touch' sign. She blinked as her ears rang for a moment. That was a problem, but it was probably best to keep away from healing magic at the moment. Best get Albert somewhere safe in case she passed out, then.

How troublesome. Next staff shop, she was waiting outside.

"Albert? I think it is best we move off the streets. Neither of us are in much of a condition. Come on, let us go."

She helped him up, or tried to, at least.

Laura might bump into Kyle as he gives himself a self guided tour of the city. He appears to be mumbling something under his breath.

And Laura quickly moves past Kyle to resume her quest, not giving a singular moment of attention toward him.

Albert eventually let himself be helped up by ketsuki, though he mostly kept his eyes to the ground. At the least his walking wasn't terrible, but it seems as though his arm which Ketsuki grabbed was aching, as he couldn't seem to keep it in one place without a wince of pain. After a couple of moments, he scanned the surroundings, then turned his head down again.
"Where's Lamden or Tomik... Where do we go?" Albert's voice was quiet, and faltered regularly.

In that case Kyle doesn't notice either. He's to preoccupied.

Albertsuki:

The staffkeeper managed to catch up to them, carrying a variety of staves with him.

At least, I managed to find you before you caused much trouble! Oh my, you look hurt. Let me fix you up.

The keeper waved a few of his staves in front of Ketsuki's face, which healed her injuries and fogginess of mind.

Now, I won't charge you for this, but I hope you buy a staff or two from my store. As you saw they're very effective!

Laura:

She couldn't find a temple or other place or worship since mages apparently don't use those, but there were a couple of libraries, museums and other places of quiet for her to enjoy.

Lillian:

The nearest bar was quite a way from the center of the city. Inside a bunch of robed people were enjoying from various colored drinks, some of them sparkling or just plain on fire, but nothing was really entertaining the crowd other than themselves talking about their mage stuff.

Tomik/Abel:

The trinket shop they entered had a few shinies on display:

Quote
Useless Amulet: 100 g
Useless Headpiece: 200 g
Useless but Shiny Ring: 250 g
Useless but Decorated Dagger: 300 g
Useless Jewel-encrusted Stick: 400 g

Tomik looked over the trinkets, frowned, and shook his head.

"Hmm, no, none of these are worth it."

Exiting the shop, he glanced at Abel and frowned. It was one thing to tell Alessa, who had already traveled with their group some, but this man was a complete stranger, he knew nothing about him. He decided that it was best to err on the side of caution. Besides, he could answer the man's question without getting too deep into what was going on.

"Well, I guess you could call us mercenaries. We're in the city because the 'old man' as you called him hired us to protect him during his trip here. Good think he did, what with the bandits we ran into. Got a nice bounty off of them too."

Lillian entered and sat at the bar. She had a little money of her own... but not a whole lot. Still, it would be enough for a drink or two.

"Can I get something to drink over here, please?"

Lamden calmly looked over a small leaf that he plucked off of a nearby plant as he sat near the door into Nikolai's home, holding it over his heal staff's crystal and looking through it.
: "Hmm..." A couple moments later, he sighed, "Blast it, no signs of magic residue. So they're delivering water to these somehow..." The lay priest nodded at Kyle as he walked in before resuming examining the leaf.

Kyle raises an eyebrow at the priest.
"... And people say I'm crazy..."
