Harlan gazed around at the wondrous city. What a sight! He was glad that he got to see it.
After nodding to Abel, he approached Lillian.

: "So...does this strike you as a safe place to settle down? We're out of Ixion's reach now, after all. You and Tomik could build a new life here."

Tomik and Alessa passed through the plaza with a big fountain gushing water in the middle not without receiving a few looks. At the security building, a clerk looked at Tomik with skepticism but just asked.

As Ketsuki and Albert also found out, strangers were a rare sight in this city, since people on the streets kept staring at them. As they walked down the city they saw a few stores, all of them dealing with magic one way of another, books and staves and trinkets and more mage stuff.
: He he he our methods of survival are one of our greatest secrets! But yeah under the desert it's actually quite nice and we found an underground reservoir of water so all we have to do is reuse it!

Then Abel came back.

: Darn I knew I shouldn't have cheaped out on the antiprotonic flux fuel. Thanks you really got me out of a pickle there!

Albert found himself walking a little bit closer to Ketsuki as they walked though the city, his amazement tempered with the worry of everyone staring at him. Still, he was somewhat determined to have a fun time, and to be honest, he was wondering just what would be sold in a city like this.
  "Ooh, a staff shop.. Ketsuki, I'm gonna see what sort of things they have in there!"

Ketsuki, for her part, didn't mind the stares and whispers at all - an ex-arena fighter, after all, does not mind a crowd. Her head swivelled on her neck as she looked round, making up for the limited vision of her single eye.

"Then let us have a look. I wonder if they sell swordsticks? I think that would be more my sort of thing than a healing stave, at any rate." She offered a small smile.

"I guess everyone knows, huh?"

Even Harlan is trying to get rid of me...

"I don't know. Maybe. I wouldn't want to stay here forever, I guess. I mean, I'm not saying it's not a nice place, just, um, I don't really want to settle down anywhere yet. There's still so many places I haven't been, you know?"

[Sirus]

: "There were a few subtle hints, yes. Such as Laura shouting it to the heavens." The thief responded wryly.

: "Well, as long as you don't go back to Ixion anytime soon you should be okay. Which means my work here is done."

[SeriousConcentrate]

"Yeah, proooobably not going back to Ixion. Ever."

Lilly took a step back and made a gesture with her left hand, as if to say she wasn't going to get in his way when he said his work was done.

: "Take care of yourself."

With that, Harlan walked out the door and began to wander.

Lilly watched him go, then sighed and left too, to find a park bench or something to sit on.

It seemed his words had given the girl something to think about, judging from her extended silence. Well, that had been the intention. He responded to the clerk,

"We're here to collect a bounty on Rajik. Even have his head as proof if you care to check."

He held up the bag for the man to see.

Albert entered the staff shop named "This Is My Healstick" where a middle aged man with a very weird hat welcomed him.

Welcome! I take it you want a staff, well I have a few for you!

The clerk looked a little bit disgusted but took a quick glance inside the bag.

As soon as Ketsuki touched the staff, a light made her start to see triple and feel like the room was spinning around.

Tomik took the money with a grin and a nod of thanks before heading out. Alessa continued to follow along, but he spotted a trinket shop along the way.

"I'm going to stop in here. Feel free to join me if you want."
