Laura was baffled by the ever-stoicism of Tomik. She had to deal with a few many entire garrison of short-tempered and gruff men. Here and now, someone that calm and helpful, was... impenetrable defense for her.

"Well, uh... I, uh, think you're up to a good start already."

"Sorry."

[Sirus]

: "They say you can take the tiger out of the jungle but you can't take the jungle out of the tiger. Remember that phrase? Well, it's true. You can pretend that this isn't a dog-eat-dog world if you want to, dig around your old ruins, but I know better than that. Besides...we all die eventually."

[Ochita]

Albert jolted when Ketsuki placed her hand on him, and he looked at her with a definite unhappy expression on his face.
  "Y.. Yeah.. I.. I'll be by the tree." Slowly walking over to it, and then just letting himself flump on the sand against it.

[Swordstar]

"It's alright. I've been yelled at before. It's kinda unavoidable with my sister. You two would get along I think. And... I'd rather have someone be honest with me than lie and be unhappy. Especially if I'm going to actually try and be our leader, I need to be able to admit I'm not perfect. So... yeah. Next time I screw up, let me know, ok?"

[Haspen]

"Uh, okay." Laura blushed a little, rubbed the back of her head.

"Ever worked in an expensive, busy shop dealing in crafts and furniture? Lot's of yelling customers. You would be worker of the month there."

[Swordstar]

"Ha. Maybe when this is all over, I can get a job doing that."

[Haspen]

"...She heard all of my... oh... I don't know if I will ever be able to apologize to her."

Ketsuki didn't really get the sudden furour. The enemy had attacked them, and now, the enemy was dead. She doubted he'd have taken their surrender, had the tables been turned, and one entered battle with the risk of death always looming.

"The risk of death is always present for the warrior. To expect otherwise is foolishness." She nodded to Harlan. "Here or with the executioner's axe, it seems likely his fate was sealed."

: ... I doubt you ever tried having at least a half decent life, but I have, and I don't intend to throw it away for that. Why are you so worried about death anyways? I doubt anyone could best you at the game of backstabbing.

[Powder Miner]

Tomik was as always calm and courteous, his measured nature and ability to handle things showing fully. Senija on the other hand... She was tense and shaking lightly, having taken the situation more personally than her brother. She looked ready to leap off of Ranzen at a moment's notice... But she hadn't yet.
:"Hrrrrrgh..."

[Swordstar]

"I mean... It's not like you were... wrong about us. But that's not why she said I should be leader. She said that... Aw crap. Excuse me."

"Senija. Look at me. It's ok. I promise."

[Powder Miner]

:"But they-- SHE-- and you're just gonna let them DO that?!"

[Swordstar]

"She was angry and frustrated and had a right to be. You of all people should understand what it's like to have a temper. I stood up and took the reins, but it was sudden and not everyone was going to be ok with that. I knew that and sometimes that's just how it goes. She apologized too, so it will be ok."

[Haspen]

"You know Senija I'm right here if anything..." Laura waved her hand right behind Tomik's hair.

"_{Hey maybe I should have shouting or wrestling contest with her what do you think Tomik.}"

[Swordstar]

Tomik chuckled.

"Ha, that'd be amusing. What do you think Senija? The two of you yell at each other for a while, help cool off? No physical fighting though, only yelling of course."
