: "I vote for finishing him. Even if the bounty for bringing him in alive is higher, it's too risky. A dead man is guaranteed money. If we leave him alive, and he escapes or attacks us, we gain nothing and potentially lose."

"That was my first instinct too but... I was fairly certain others would object."

Harlan just shrugged, and lowered his voice.

: "I could do it right now, and let you chew me out over it in front of the rest. You'd keep your good rep with the rest, and this guy's no longer a potential threat. Up to you."

Kyle raises his hand. He looks a little freaked out for some reason.
"I vote to take him. I'll even watch him and make sure he doesn't die and stuff if you guys would have a problem with that."

"Oh? You surprise me, Kyle."

"Why? He surrendered. It's only right to not kill him."

[Swordstar]

Glancing at Harlan, Tomik hesitated for a second and then gave an almost imperceptible nod. He didn't like this situation, but this was the best solution. They couldn't risk him escaping and spreading news of their group.

Harlan nodded in response, then gestured towards the rest of the group and mouthed "distract them".

Albert seemed worried somewhat by the news. What tomik said made some sense, he didn't like any of it.
  "I... I don't want us to kill a defenseless man, even if he's done terrible things, and if we're not safe around him..."
  "I-..If the majority is that.. He has to die... I.." Albert stopped talking, looking at Rajik with trembling hands.

Walking over to the rest of the group, Tomik frowned.

"Right, before we worry about the prisoner, lets take a second to get ourselves sorted. Alessa still could use some healing, as could I. Is there anyone else who needs healing? Clare, Senija, you two should take to the skies, make sure there aren't any enemies we missed. Kyle, Zane, if you could check the bodies of the slain, make sure there aren't any useful items that we should be taking with us. Ketsuki, Laura, Lily, you three talk with our employer, figure out exactly how far we have left to travel. It might make more sense to fly there in shifts if that would make things go faster."

Harold walked up to Harlan at a moment's notice.

: *So, quite a choice you have there, are you gonna do the same thing you always do?*

Laura walks up to the dying scoundrel and performs act of mercy with her javelin.

"Puzzles me how you haven't hesitated while slaughtering my fellow guards but now you're debating on sparing a thug's life."

"Would you spare your target, should you find him?"

Ketsuki stepped forward and looked at injured man without emotion - well, the dead man, now.

"I suppose that settles that."

Kyle gives Tomik a glare as he starts walking over to the barely breathing man.
"We need to decide what to do with this one first. I'm a lunatic and I know to deal with prisoners first."

He moves to block Laura when she starts walking towards the man.

Zane was put apart from himself. On one hand, he wanted Rajik dead for the things he'd done, and the relentlessness of his attacks. On the other, killing someone who surrendered, even a hated enemy, didn't sit well with him.
"..."

On second thought, maybe simply following his orders was best. Silence was sometimes the best choice of words.
