Zane overheard the philosophy debate and argument, and briefly recalled when they first met, and Harlan mentioned that some days they don't even try to kill each other.

As Tomik went over the bones near Harlan, something was starting to shine in the middle of the sand. When he landed it wasn't hard for him to find an item in particularly good shape. It was a staff probably dropped by a wandering mage that didn't seem to have had time to use it even once.
