Albert couldn't help but give a small look at Laura. Talking about personal interaction lessons... When she was talking about stabbing a man just not 5 minutes before for no good reason, other than him being 'shifty'.

Alessa pondered upon the position of the sun and wondered why, in any case, this party was a bit...disjoined with how they treated each other.

It was fairly motley, though also had a bit of camaraderie--and this, she could side with. Looking at the 'replacement' group, as far as she surmised Nikolai's idea, she thought about something to pass the time and get to know each other better.

Seemed like a win-win, from her point of view.

"I take it you are all very acquainted with each other? Teamwork? Ideologies? No internal quibbling?"

Senija had been iiincredibly quiet... and, in fact, looking at her would reveal that she had actually fallen asleep on top of Ranzen, who was smart enough to follow the others.

A couple of hours later, Nikolai came back with a very sizable backpack, full of small contraptions and mage stuff. He moved up to the door and signaled the group to follow.

: Well, are you ready? If we move out right now we can get there before the desert gets chilly!

The group trudged through the sand for some more hours, during which nothing really interesting happened. But then...

: While we're here you should check for treasures using this! Nikolai gives Zane a staff like contraption. It will beep when you're near something interesting so you can find it easier!

Zane gets Detector!

: We're almost there! We just need to pass a couple more of these dunes and... Is that someone on top of that dune?

In front of them there was a robed man, which Zane could identify as one of the mages from his group that escorted Nikolai to Serania.

Hey! If it isn't our old pal Zane! Still working with the old coot? Well bad news for you, kid. We have a new boss, one that pays us more and all, and he says nobody passes thru here alive, so tough luck but you and all your little buddies are as good as toast!

: Uh oh... This doesn't look good. Now that we were almost there this happens! Well I trust you to do all the fightning because I'm more of a pacifist... When it's all over just give me a call!

Nikolai then kicked up a cloud of sand and disappeared from sight, just when more of Zane's old companions, bandits and wyverns started showing up.
