"I find myself agreeing somehwat with Lamden. There is always a choice, Kyle, even if that choice is death. Any man can make words, but it is through your actions you reveal your character. If you fear damnation, strive to heal the harm you have done. "

"Right, lets see... Looks like we could continue to follow the coast, or try and cut across the desert. Thoughts?"

Lamden nodded in appreciation to Ketsuki, before glancing at the map at the table across.
: "A tad further east than I had thought. We could try to cut the desert, but I would not advise it. We have far too many mouths and far too few provisions. Yet at the same time, our movements are becoming more and more predictable. Should the Ixonians decide to commit any more resources to capturing us, they could easily cut us off. Quite the conundrum."

"It is easier to disappear into the desert, but we would need a lot of supplies. If we can obtain the provisions, I would say to cross the desert. It would be harsh, but the enemy will no doubt send the bulk of any hunting forces down the coast. "

Harlan cursed mildly.

: "If I'm reading this thing correctly, it looks like most of the coast is considered Ixion territory. We'll have to go inland sooner or later, unless we really want to be harried halfway across the continent."

Albert nodded to Lamden's words about how the pirate should absolve for what he had done. It sounded right, and when Lamden nodded at him, he nodded back.
: "They're right, do what you can to heal the damage you have caused to others, and do good for others, though be respectful of the laws, and try not to cause harm to others while doing so."
Having said his piece, Albert then examined the map, trying not to get in anyone's way.
: "So.. Either we take a hard desert route or we continue down Ixion soil.. Um.. What is the desert even like? Is it that treacherous that its considered the same level of threat as our pursuers?"

: "I'm starting to think we should continue along the coast to Serania. On the way, we can attempt to gather provisions for cut across the desert north. From there, it should be much shorter than attempting to brave the desert here. And as far as our pursuers go: we already rebuffed one attempt to capture us, what's to say they can organize their forces well enough to take another chance? And if this village is anything to go by, I don't think they're particularly willing to stick their necks out to apprehend us."
Lamden glanced over to Albert.
: "Put simply, no food, no water, and hundreds of leagues of sand and sun. I may not have known it myself, but I've heard enough stories to be wary of finding out."

Haibach looked at Albert and shaked his head.

: Not same- worse. You have more chances if you go against the army than if you try to cross the whole desert.

: There's a reason only the coast is part of Ixion. That reason being monsters and unfriendly mages and their illusions. If you try to cross the desert from here you're as good as dead.

: "That sounds pretty uncomfortable.. I guess that explains why we'd need extra supplies. And Ah.. That also sounds pretty serious."
Albert took another glance at the map.
: "I think then, it would make sense if we continued down the coast before cutting across the desert then, if we defeated those hunters on horseback, there shouldn't be much chance of word travelling faster than us, right?"

"So it seems like the best plan for now is to continue along the coast until we hit Serania, at which point we'll be able to either head into the mountains or get enough supplies and cross the shortest part of the desert. Unless someone has any objections?"

: "Sounds like a plan. We better stock up on supplies before we leave, just in case we need to divert into the desert early."

"Good idea. You organize people to do that, I need to go to change. Don't buy too much though, these people have already done plenty for us."

With that, he headed upstairs.

: Well, good luck whatever you do.

Haibach then turned to Kyle.

: Hey Kyle! Get ready, we'll be moving out soon. It looks like the worst of the storm already happened and I don't want to waste time.
