Senija raised a finger, then put it down.
:"Ah... you're not wrong, I guess..."

Albert stood up, and after brushing himself off, continues to look at Senija.
: "You and your brother may know each other well enough to be able to joke around like that but I don't know well enough, its been hardly more than a couple of days and.."
Albert took in a couple of breaths, before frowning.
: "Don't say embarrassing things like that around me when everyone's around! Do you know how embarrassing it was? To have that pirate of all people speak up in my defense, drawing the attention of everyone?!"
Albert almost hesitated, but after a couple more quick breaths, he continued.
: "You said something about having a backbone earlier, but I haven't just given up and stayed in one spot so that the army could capture me?! I've lost my home and my livelihood, and I'm on the run and I find that doing this needs determination and backbone. Yes, I'm not great with girls or anything and I easily take words to heart, but that's just because I haven't had to deal with them much before now, sorry for growing up sheltered!"
And with that, Albert stopped, shaking slightly as he looked at Senija, whatever was in his system being vented. He just stood there, waiting for some response.

Harlan chuckled when Kyle spoke.

: "I wouldn't worry about it; not thinking is a common trait among pirates. If it happens again one of us will stab you and bring you to your senses." He returned his attention to Ketsuki.

: "Well, none of the doctors or priests I've spoken to so far have been able to cure this 'can-sir' thing. Still, worth a shot. Where's this Master of yours?"

Senija looked unhappier after that rant... and she was nearly speechless-- he was probably right, after all.
:"Um... I'm not really... I, uh... don't... uhm."

Kyle glares at Harlan for a few second before snorting in amusement.
  "Piss off, old man."
He says in a friendly tone.

Albert closed his eyes, and took a couple of deep breaths. Finally breaking his eye contact, he looks away and sighs.
: "You went too far. You and your brother were jerks. I'm going to take a walk, please don't follow me."
And with that, Albert turned away, and started to to walk down the street.

Senija watched him walk off speechless; it took a couple of moments (when he was out of earshot) until she figured out words.
:"Yeah... you're right..."
She plopped down next to her wyvern.
:"Ranzen, this is why I don't have friends."

Ketsuki looked slightly embarrassed at his question.

"I... am not quite sure, winds blow true. We lived in the central mountains. But when more monsters started appearing, he sent me away and left for the Gate. He is strong, though, so once he completed his aim he should have returned home.

He taught me a little, though I found it dull compared to swordwork. I might help slightly, but there's no magic involved. I can't cure you, but it might relieve any symptoms. I would have to borrow some needles, however."

It was clear, even through Ketsuki's formal speaking, she held her master in the highest of regard.

It had been a long time since she had practised her acupuncture, though. She was certain she could remember.

After a while, Albert returned soaked from the storm, and everyone went to sleep.

The storm turned into a slight rain overnight, and in the morning the sun started shining between the clouds.

Albert woke up with a groan. Going to sleep cold and damp was clearly a recipe for bad sleep. Rubbing his eyes, he got prepared to go on the road again, and came downstairs, immediately ordering some porridge and some water. After getting his breakfast, he sat himself down roughly where he was the night before, and began to eat.

Kyle heads downstairs and goes to order some food. He seems to be a good mood.

Harlan nibbled at a roll in front of the fire. He really wasn't hungry.

Tomik headed downstairs, leaving his usual undershirt, padded jacket, and armor upstairs, wearing just a simple tunic he'd picked up in their journey. Spotting Albert alone at one of the tables, he winced and then slowly sat down at the same table.

"Hey, I... I need to apologize. I was out of line last night. I'm just... I'm used to traveling alone with my sister and interacting with her like that. I'm not... I'm not good at interacting with other people I guess. But that's not a good excuse. I still was out of line."
