: You mean you did! I saw you standing there without backing down, and sure as hell I'm proud of having you in my crew! Now we should go back to the village, it's pouring down and the crew's waiting for us.
Meanwhile over the river, the troubadour is trying to keep calm while the group surrounds her. She tries to turn tail and escape, but suddenly Lamden blocks the only way.

Okay I surrender! All I have is my staves! She's trying and failing to hide the panicky tone of her voice.

Kyle shrugs.
  "Nah, I just got hit a lot and did what I normally do..."
Kyle pauses as he looks over at Harlan.
  "Wait a moment... THAT'S HIM!"
Kyle start stomping over to Harlan.

[Sirus]

Harlan gave the troubadour a nod and lowered his sword so it wasn't quite so threatening.
: "That's fine. Hand your staffs over to that man on the horse, and you can be on your w--" He was interupted by Kyle approaching.

: "...I'm who? Have we met?"

Ketsuki also sheathed her blade and made her way next to Harlan.

"Might this wait until there's a roof over our heads?"

As if to prove the point, Lilly sneezed and rubbed at her nose.

"She's right. I'm soaked through. Can we do all this around a fire?"

[Haspen]

"I like rain, at least it's not seawater!"

"Aaaand if we're going to have a fire, you should live up to bard standards, Lily, and sing a song!"

[SeriousConcentrate]

"I think I need something to drink first, and a chance to rest my fingers and get some warmth back in them."

[Haspen]

"Are you getting sick? Maybe Albert should do his healing things?"

[SeriousConcentrate]

"I don't think so. I hope not, anyway."

Lilly tucked her pick back into her wristband and rubbed her upper arms, casting a glance at the dark clouds overhead.

[Swordstar]

"Like Harlan was saying, give Lamden your staffs and there will be no problems here. If you know anything about other plans to chase our group down, you should tell us, but if you don't know anything, we have no reason to harm you. Everyone else, head to the village, we don't want to be out here any longer than need be. You, pirate, whatever your problem with Harlan is can get figured out inside as well as here. Any problems with that?"

Kyle grabs Harlan by his shirt and hoists him up.
  "I'd recgonise that ugly mug anywhere! You're Captain Smith! You put me and my mum out on the street and now I'm gonna put YOU in a hole!"

Tomik growled, and kicked Modra into gear. The next thing anyone knew, a loud slam was heard as a wyvern tail slammed down loudly on the ground and a large growling wyvern face was soon inches away from Kyle and Harlan.

"I said. Any problem you have with him can be solved inside. Now put him down before the rest of our group gets involved. In case you've forgotten, you're the outsider here."

[GiglameshDespair]

Ketsuki raised her eyebrow.

"I'd not recommend that course of action, my new companion. We'll sort this out in the village, and you can die there if need be."

[Solymr]

Captain Haibach didn't waste too much time stepping over to Kyle and forcing him to put down Harlan.

: KYLE! Did you get hit too hard in the noggin or what?! Can't you see this scrawny guy is too sick to be a pirate?

The troubadour is eating popcorn watching the fight and holding the staves, reluctant to let them go, but then wyvern smash convinced her to just throw them at Lamden's face.

Alright alright here you go, can I leave now?!

Harlan wasn't sure what was more surprising: the pirate's sudden attack or the fact that the others seemed to be sticking up for him...sort of.
