If its a bomb, or a gun, or similar than back up SLOWLY.

Also, we need to remember to paint the bare metal we have something dull...

Continue to look at it. If it's a tank then we should...turn back...quickly.
If it's a tank then get closer, it's really hard to shoot out of a tank.

If its a bomb, or a gun, or similar than back up SLOWLY.

Also, we need to remember to paint the bare metal we have something dull...
use some mud to cover the bare metal.

Agree, plus that's about the LAST thing *I* want to see from this kind of game - author spending valuable development time on useless graphics.

Unofficial slogan of Bay 12 Games.

There is no mud, just perma frost

The shiney mound doesn't move and you can't make out what exactly it is from this distance

Sneak forward, keeping low.

Also, mud wouldent be the best anyways, it would gunk up the gun and we dont have a cleaning kit. Smoke might help though... Not the rifle bolt, but the rest.

You silently sneak forward making little noise, with rifle in hand

You get to the strange object

there is one bare spot where the snow had fallen off but the rest is covered in thick snow

you brush the snow away revealing more shinney metal. It seem to be the shape of a bomb
but there is a peculiar handle on the side of the metal bomb looking thing

Put more snow on it and then a stick. We'll come back with our comrades for it.

Then try to remember WHERE we are and WHAT we are doing here. If we don't have a direction why walk?

DONT shoot it! For one, we have limited ammo, for another it will bring anyone after us, and it will possibly kill us.

Instead, follow our tracks...

To where the HELL are we going? Why are we out here?

We need our character to snap out of the god damn amnesia she's in.

Cover the thing with snow, follow our tracks. Take off the bayonet for the time being.
