Human Resources has a brilliant looking pitch that will definitely sucker in a ton of money.

But you know what, Planetary Annihilation also had a brilliant looking pitch, and it's currently being disemboweled by critics and players alike, it's a horrible mess.

To add insult to injury, the two other games Uber made, last one being Super Monday Night Combat have been all but abandoned by the developers. The game's population is near nonexistent. And guess what, one of those Human Resources kickstarter tiers gives you $50 ingame credits for.. Super Monday Night Combat!

I too really want to dream and want a game as shown in their video but Uber is BY FAR not the team that can tackle that project and I wouldn't trust them with anything more difficult than Minesweeper or Solitaire, at least those two don't need a save feature.

Yeah, I'm deeply regretting backing PA. I didn't even like SupCom, but I was lured in by the smashing of planets together. The last time I played this, it basically felt like SupCom to me and I found myself pretty thoroughly bored. Not that that is exactly the game's fault.....And now that they've gone to launch and I've started reading the reviews of people who are paying attention to the game, I really wish I hadn't gotten in on this. But it was the early days of Kickstarter, before I'd yet to get a single game I'd backed and started to taste of the reality of crowd funded development.

Its kinda silly to complain that a friendly NPC isn't a well designed boss fight.

I hope this is a wake-up call for companies doing crowd sourced games - even with an awesome concept/design (as Human Resources was) if you mess up on delivering what you promised first time around, you don't really get a second chance.

With enough work and polish, it could have been a forgettable flash game on Kongregate.

They could always fund this the old fashion way with nvestors or loans. Instead of. BEgging for money.

Yeah, PA was a bit of a disappointment.  I feel like they focused too much on "Cool things" like the cronocam and other fun stuff then gameplay and performance.  I wish they had gotten down the good game features like smashing planets and launching units from one orbital body to another first, before moving on to other stuff.
