It doesn't affect your magic resistance - you'll have to have abilities or items that increase it.
Armor doesn't give magic resistance, you need items.

Also guys, we need more players to do PvP.

I played League of Legends, originally, so this will probably be a ported champion concept. Not sure what which I'll do, though.

not joining, I don't care for a game where I am being insulted the moment I voice interest, all yours KJ, enjoy your game. But note that all I did was voice interest. YOu were the one starting the conflict immediatly by going all childish "oh noes if Akroma joins I'm not playing. Abanodn ship, game now unplayable GG". It was you who started to argue.

man, trying to balance this is hard..

question, does anything like sightrange or armor come into effect? I already imagined what kinda stuff I'd put on Icarus, but with the mechanics of this RP not being, well, anything close to dota, neither might be useful

What are you trying to do? I'll be using the armor system in Dota and sightrange will be reasonable (which can be increased, can be unobstructed, less during night, etc.)
The mechanics are relatively close to DotA, I just had to change many things because of PbP, like attack speed, range, movement speed, time, etc. The only potential for problems are balancing abilities and attack speed, which we can do as we play.
