Adventure Mode problem.

I'm running a game in Adventure Mode with the ASCII graphics, using LNP. My character became a necromancer after a recent mission, but whenever I try to animate a corpse the entire screen goes black and I can't select anything. Any idea what might be causing this? Is this an outstanding bug?
