Why do you 'like' this game?

Interesting, rarely used setting (early 20th Century)
Good mix of strategy and management gameplay, but with simple rules
Semi-freeform diplomacy (and backstabbings!)
All of the above
I'm just forum game addict and gotta play'em all

The political cartoon calling Pogek foolish relied more on my leader being a woman herself. Not necessarily a cogent argument but rather something similar to people claiming that because the U.S. has a black president it's impossible for racism to exist. I also figured that we weren't playing too close to real world parallels since it's a fantasy setting. The "significant parity" is trumped up and conceptually I felt it only came about in the revolution for independence due to powerful women playing key roles during it and thus could occupy the power vacuum during restructuring. I'd say between 35-40% of the Senate has female members but that doesn't stop the newspapers from promoting the current status quo as good enough. If you brought historical assumptions that's on you, as I went out of my way to use non-gendered language, and I don't think your nation's scenario is more deserving of a "realism medal" than mine.

...and it's not supposed to be accurate, it's propaganda that plays fast with the truth O_O
Literally I imagined the cartoons to be something like "Kelly Cartoons".
My french taunting is for rabble-rousing RP, with a strongly anti-dictatorship/anti-monarchy stance, rather than personal. I don't actually want your leader to step down / surrender.

It's more likely than you think.

I'm imagining my council of Khans, sitting around the table, and reading political cartoons from the other side of the continent, while their hordes of cavalry go off to pillage some poor sap.

Lord-Minister Falconi Macaroni drew a scathing manga satirizing hoomans running countries.

Finds the yaoi dating scenes between the bishounen falcons poignant, with a subtle grace in how they convey the socioeconomic stratification and inefficiency being inevitable in human societies. Surrenders to Falconi's superior analysis and statesfalconship.

Like I said, I think I overreacted.

And aye, it's not meant to be super-realistic, more of an alternate-history-esque thing.

When people on the forums make things personal and blend IC and OOC, it's hard to leave the mindset that what they say in one they also men in the other.

Apologies. >.<

I think any diplomacy left would be fluff only.

And we've already kinda fucked with time in terms of how fast the newspapers are publishing this shit.

Questions :

- When do armies spawn? At the beginning of your turn, at the beginning of the month, or at some other point in time?
- Can enemies use your railroads in order to invade? I do vaguely recall something about moving towards the border earlier on.

I thought we were going to change this to the beginning of a player's turn.

Das Sheb's rule, not mine.

Also the game will start proper when I get a monit from all players that they've finished deployment and diplomacing (so far, only mastahcheese said so)
