I am Solomon. A thin young man with glasses who is always reading or writing. I keep all of my journals ((CoughdiarysCough)) and books in my pack. ((I hope there is enough room for me to join!)) ((Ah! I nearly forgot. I don't know why I keep forgetting to tell people this? Hi Hugo!))
(Hello!)
(3) In the midst of writing your latest entry (for you have mastered the art of walking while writing), the smell of smoke interrupts you.
Shout There is a fire! and run away. Try to look at some ladies, while we're at it..
(2) You're already running, seeing how fast it's spreading. And you still can't remember whether or not there are any ladies in the group.
What? Fire?! ARGH!!! panic!
(2) You run back and forth, not gaining any distance from the fire.
Fire!? I just hope it doesn't burn down the tree that points me to the direction of the hiding place of the items I buried.
(6) You suspect that, given said tree is at least 15 days further down the trail, hope is hardly necessary. This is somewhat of a relief to think about as you feel the heat of the fire on your back, fast getting closer.
Quickly! Set another fire to fight the new fire!
Remembering the principal of a fire break, (1) you set a nearby bush on fire. Unfortunately, a proper fire break requires time to prepare and knowing the correct techniques, of which you have neither. The secondary fire spreads sideways, meeting up with the first one way, and going off ahead of the group the other. You'll have to go move if you don't want to be cut off.
