I'd have to learn advfort from scratch if we used it, but I guess it's worth a shot...

I only know advfort from the 34.11 versions - haven't tried it in this new one.

Aaaand, my hard drive is finally fixed too!  I'll set up a new world once again, build a 1x1 embark for the Museum after 500 years of history and we can try this challenge one more time!

Lol at The Little House on the Prairie.  It should work too, now that all the bugs that have plagued us have been fixed.

I expect it'll be a new thread.  The world will not be the Dwarfopoly islands that you guys liked so little, instead I've found just the map.  I've genned each race to be in control of at least one continent apiece, and it looks like the gobbos have never came out from underground, so we'll have do do some spelunking for trolls and gobbos inhabiting the caverns instead.

Sounds cool. This would probably be a good time to argue about / fine tune the rules and stuff, I guess. :)

It's going to be DF 0.40.24, right? There is already a memory layout for Dwarf Therapist and dfhack will probably be along soon-ish (if you even use it).  The update after DF 0.40.24 will probably be a 'New functionality' update full of bugs. :P

DF 0.40.24 doesn't have the awful 'unretire' bug, which will be a huge improvement.

On the FPS front, a museum in a Tundra biome would probably have very few animal visitors. Might make for a calmer environment.  Swarms of monkeys and herds of unicorns might be better avoided. ;)

There was various confusion in previous threads (which I inadvertently contributed to). Maybe we should aim for more quality and less quantity in submissions. When DF 0.40.24 has dfhack available one possibility is to use Advfort and have the adventurer build display cases and put items in windowed rooms themselves.
