"Alright, Carran." Somehow her intonation makes his name sound like she is speaking to a god. She returns the hug keeping her face away from his.

"Come on!"
Slate heads back to Saph and Carren.

Saph whips her head towards him, it is immediately obvious that something is still going on. Especially since her eyes are now glowing crimson like a Grimm.

"Come on Salh, that's just Slate. Friend of ours, remember that? Helped me get ya out, actually."
He looks at Slate.
"So, buddy. That's what friends call each other, right? Anyway, what's it like down there?"

Saph tenses even further at the new arrival, but her grip on Carran lessens.

Jet is still plugging along to discover the secrets of this cavern.

After an absurd amount of walking, the teachers run up against a wall.  A wall of black.  It looks to be a huge orb towering above the others.  A black unbeating heart in the center of the glacier.

"Can I get a picture with you?"

"Of cour... Do you promise to keep it to yourself and not show anyone else?"
