Hm. I am sure I know of legends that dealt with such a creature, but are there any books on theories on what the Grimm were born from?"

You reach your door and are about to open it, when you hear a faint scrabbling sound inside. You are fairly certain that the rest of your team is either injured or...  Anyway someone is in your room and they aren't supposed to be there.

"I'm not sure if we'll ever know until the events of 30 years ago can be fully understood. There are a number of theories, from the will of the planet itself to primordial darkness attempting to destroy us. "

Kyle goes to look up the news.

Not much that you didn't already know, there have been attacks by Vestige Grimm throughout the kingdom. Though those seem to have tapered off. Some of the people partially transformed will fully transform later. Faunus seem to be the most commonly afflicted.
