Ian grips her tight and raises her from perdition attempts to pull her out.
(54) Her own struggling added to your violent assault on the sphere makes lifting her out of the shadow child's play.
That maneuver was excessively tiring and she was almost out of ammunition...But...if she'd bounced off it once...
PINBALL DEATH-BATTLE TIME
Except without death. Since we're just trying to crack hardened orbs.
Amber did try to make a mental note of the student whose running seemed unnatural, so she could remember his face later at the very least should she see him again...
(78+5) Your tactic, seems to be almost universally effective, stabbing really hard and fast with the pointy end tends to be that way, unlike the first orb though, these orbs merely crack... alot.
Maeve, meanwhile, tries a different tactic.
Using her ice glyph, she proceeds to use gravity as her friend, dropping the ice blocks on the orbs to crack them.
(72) She follows behind Amber's attacks, dropping large ice blocks formed from the fallen snow onto the orbs and shattering them. The hardened orbs all release luminescent fluid that rapidly flows to the body of the person who was trapped inside and appears to evaporate once it reaches them. The bodies of the captured seem a little off from Maeve's point of view.
Why the hell is this happening...
You spot an instructor, you're fairly certain that it is the mechanics professor, bolt into the Bulwark's communications tower, which you now realize is on fire.
Chryssa strikes the new cracks on the orb, with her weapon.
Ceil attempts to get her weapon back, and continue trying to help hit the cracks.
Chartre joins the orb-stabbing party.
(68)(58)(98) The simultaneous attack utterly destroys Falu's orb shattering it into innumerable pieces which immediately dissipate. Their shoes and lower pants are flooded by the light, which immediately flows back into... Falu? The body that falls collapses out of the orb seems much too big to have been from the timid girl who had been trapped in the orb.
Falu continues to struggle, freak out, and such.
((So... not listening to the whispers then... Probably a good choice.))
As the light like fluid reaches the bottom of your chin, you can almost hear the word that you keep missing. "You're a good little..." Suddenly, your dark prison shatters revealing a world of light and pain. Everything hurts, your eyes, your muscles, your bones, places you are fairly certain that you don't have. You fall forward, barely turning your head to the side. Opening your eyes is blinding, but gradually shapes start to take form.
The first thing your eyes alight on is your mother's sword, brighter than you remember, but that may just be your eyes adjusting. Following the blade down to your hand and arm, you realize that these are not yours at all, your long sleeves have torn off. They look like they belong on a skinless Beowolf. Bone and muscle are revealed, long lean and surprisingly not very bloody, but extremely painful with additional bone sticking out from places along the arm. As you attempt to move it, you feel an additional weight on your shoulder blade, more bone you suspect.
Your eyes adjust further into the light revealing Chryssa and her team, their feet and legs covered in the light fluid from your prison. The fluid seems to react to your awareness, quickly returning to you and covering you where skin should have been, with it comes your old strength and something else that you can't quite quantify. The light solidifies into an alabaster skin that is quickly followed by a pelt of hair that is only a shade darker than your old white. It covers everything on your body up to your shoulders and forming a "V" on your chest, and you feel most of the pain dissipate.
Standing up is difficult as your legs and feet have become digitigrade with heavy black claws tipping each toe. A once-over of your body reveals your old clothes torn to shreds and those scraps that remain are uncomfortably tight around your new musculature and hair.
Overall, you look almost like an off white Beowolf with a svelte build, if not for your the fact the hair doesn't cover your entire body, there is no mask/ snout, and your ears are fox-esqe and your tail is cat-like.
(55) The rest of the orbs are shattered, and the students are freed, although their current form may not be the same as they once were. A number of the freed students are staring at themselves, at each other, and then at their friends. Confusion and fear seem to be the order of the day.
